When it comes to beauty boxes I'm all in for them, I actually love receiving that little surprise every month and not knowing what's inside makes it all that more exciting.
I recently signed up to Cohorted after seeing practically every beauty blogger and their mums featuring them in blog post's, videos and even plastered all over my social media feeds. I checked them out and was instantly sold on the idea. I mean, c'mon who doesn't like a beauty box which contains luxury high end products such as Lancome, MAC, TooFaced etc..
As with most beauty box subscriptions, Cohorted is a monthly subscription - There's a choice between the White Edition Box or the Black Edition Box.
The White Edition box contains a selection of hand-picked fragrances and the Black Edition box contains hand-picked beauty must haves.
I decided to go for the black edition as I'm more into makeup, skincare etc over fragrances, I actually don't like the fact that you can get samples of perfumes in beauty boxes as you're paying for the box and you can get perfume samples in store.
Both the white and black edition boxes are £35 each with free P+P, it's the most expensive beauty subscription but it's also the best, especially if you're looking for a high end luxury beauty box and you work it out you're actually getting more for your money.
I was a little skeptical about signing up as I really didn't want to be disappointed like I have been with other beauty boxes. When I opened the box, I was a little like umming and ahhing over the box - I weren't sure if I loved it or was just a little disappointed so I'm going to settle it as I am a little in the middle with it. A very frustrating thing about it also is that when linking all these products they don't seem to have any of these on the actual Cohorted website which I find very strange.
I am very happy to see the Lancôme Le Correcteur Pro Palette which is what Cohorted showed us a preview of, this is already worth £29.50 and is a multitask product, this palette has a corrector, brighten and set, is said to help hide dark circles, help brighten the eye area and minimize signs of fatigue. The one thing I was disappointed with is that this palette looks like it had been used previously, the setting powder looks like it has been swatched before or even had a brush run across it, little annoying but overall this palette looks great and I cannot wait to use it.
This was the one product I would say I was little disappointed with, I have so many of these lip crayons and I barely use them - I've received a lot in other beauty boxes also and just didn't want another if I'm honest. However, In saying that I am going to keep it and use it regardless as I did pay for this box, it is a lovely, really moisturising lip crayon - it applies really smoothly and is also very pigmented.
Another product which I may never normally use is this Cargo lip gloss quad, I would never purchase anything like this normally as I don't really like these types of lip gloss/lipstick products where you have to apply with a brush but I'm going to give this a go anyways.
The shades do look beautiful and feel quite glossy, they are also quite sheer but can be built up to get it's true colour.
It's crazy how I mentioned this product but in a different shade in my January Sales Wishlist and now it's in my hands. I'm honestly dead happy with this product and cannot wait to start using this in my daily routine. It's gorgeous, very pigmented and looks amazing on!
The Cohorted Black Edition Beauty Box retails for £35, the January's box is now sold out. However, sign up to the February's black box as it contains a very exciting Chanel product!
