I cannot leave the house without patting my face with powder when I have a full make up day, I don't know what it is but i've tried the shinier more dewy look before and it does not look good on me, in fact it makes me look ill so I always make sure to lightly brush or pat face powder all over before I step out the door.
I've been using the Rimmel Stay Matte for the longest time now, I can't even remember when the last time I used anything other. However since I had the Joan Collins Meticulous Face Powder* i've put away my Rimmel Stay Matte and used nothing but this.
This is probably the most luxurious looking packaging I have seen for a face powder and probably the most gorgeous too. It comes beautifully packaged in gold metal and has a lovely large mirror on the inside - perfect for when you're out and about and need a little touch up.
It also comes with a flat sponge which I wouldn't normally use and I much prefer using brushes - however this sponge feels amazing and glides so nicely on your face and helps smooth everything out.
I got this in the shade Neutral and find that it matches my skin tone perfectly - I love how it mattifies your skin and also gives you slightly more coverage without making it look cakey and like you've slapped powder all over your face.
The Joan Collins Meticulous Pressed Powder comes in 4 different shades - Neutral, Fair, Medium and Dark and retails for £22.
