Glossybox | April 2015

Once again i am a tad late with uploading my Glossybox post. This has got to be by far my most favourite box i have ever received from Glossybox - not only is the box just absolutely gorgeous, it also has the ever-so fabulous Marilyn Monroe on and i am a huge fan!
Aprils Glossybox* was drawing inspiration from the golden era, by paying homage to Hollywoods beauty greats, with four collector's edition boxes - yellow, mint green, pink and blue.

I received the yellow box, although i would of loved to receive the mint green one as it's my favourite colour but it's just a box and i'm so happy with the contents that i couldn't really care less about which colour box i received.
Inside the box i received 3 full sized products and 3 new launch products - I'll start with the new launches and one that i have been loving lately is the Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream - this cream promises to quickly replenish your skin, enhance firmness and boost luminosity. I've used this cream for about 2 weeks roughly, it has a thick texture that sinks into your skin and leave it looking and feeling so smooth whilst leaving you with a really nice glow. The downside to having such a luxury sample is that you want to purchase the full size, the full size price of this is £65 which i don't think i'd ever spend on a face cream unless i had spare money to spend which is never. However a nice little cream overall and really enjoyed using this gem.
The other new launch was the Nougat London Soothing Bath Pearls - Instead of measuring out a tablespoon, which quite frankly who even has time for that?.. I sprinkled about a small handful into my bath tub and soaked for about 20minutes, i honestly could not tell the difference after using this a few times, yes it does have a really nice Cherry Blossom scent but that was about it - Full size is £6 for 35ml which again i'm not to sure about, a bit expensive when you get the same results from bubble baths.
Moving on to the full sized products, the first i instantly spotted and was dead excited about was the Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss - I don't own many lip pencils and i defiantly don't own a red pencil so again was excited to give this a try! It's the perfect Marilyn red and it's really long lasting. I'm thinking about picking up a few more of these lip pencils in different shades at only £10 each.
The next full sized product was the POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen - i've just used up my current eyeliner so have moved on to this, it has a pencil on one end and a smudger on the other, i've only used the pencil and i'd say it's okay, it's not great as it does transfer under you eyes during the day but it's alright. For £6.50 i'd be better off going to grab myself a cheap liner which i know won't smudge for half that price.
Lastly is the Color Club Nail Polish in Barely There which is a gorgeous nude shade. I've used a few nail polishes from Color Club and have been seriously impressed with them - they are only £4.10 per polish which is very reasonable and they have a ton of great shades to chose from, as for the application they last a good few days without a single chip - or apply a top coat and they could last over a week without a chip. Unfortunately they are a US company and do-not currently ship internationally.

Overall i'm quite happy with Aprils Glossybox, for once they have put together a box that contains products that i would actually use.
