TIGI Bed Head Recharge Shampoo & Conditioner

Another shampoo and conditioner review for you guys today and it's the TIGI Bed Head Recharge Shampoo & Conditioner*. I've used a bunch of TIGI products in the past, my favourite being their hairsprays and mousses however i've never tried their shampoos or conditioners before so i'm a little newbie when it comes to that.
Though i'm not really one to ever give out a bad review of a product but i didn't really like the TIGI Bed Head Recharge Shampoo & Conditioner - i wouldn't say i hated the products just i think i may have expected a little more from it, that's all.
They still clean your hair really well, however, i couldn't really get on with it purely for the scent.. When you first sniff the product, your like 'oh wow, this smells good' - then after your a little like 'okay, what's that funny after scent'. I couldn't quite pick it up but i just didn't like the after scent it had to it and it wasn't just the shampoo it was both the shampoo and conditioner with the funny scents, it wasn't just me as well as my mother in law gave it a little sniff to and she thought the exact same. Besides from that i didn't have a problem with it as it cleaned my hair really well, couldn't say i could see much results as i only used this product twice as i couldn't stand the scent but overall i don't think i would pick this item up again.
I did however really like the hot pink packaging and the whole concept of the bigger shampoo size and small conditioner size, i don't see why other companies haven't quite picked up on this yet! I always use up my shampoo's first before my conditioners! Anyone else like that, or do you use up more conditioner than shampoo?..

The TIGI Bed Head Recharge Shampoo retails for £7.80/250ml and the TIGI conditioner £7.90/200ml - both of these can be found at HairTrade.

Have you ever tried this shampoo & conditioner? Did you get the same after scent?..

Roger&Gallet Fleur de Figuier Ultra-Nourishing Oil

I am a huge fan of oil based products, weather thats cleansing oil for my facial routine or hair oils for my hair care routine, i need oils in my life to help maintain a good balance for my skin tone and hair.
Recently i've been using the Roger&Gallet Ultra-Nourishing Oil*, this oil can be used on your hair and body though i do much prefer this for my hair and that's where i've been mainly using it, it's also fantastic for your body to if it's feeling a tad dry.
After washing my hair i almost always go in for a hair oil, the one i've been using for the past few months has just ran out so perfect timing that i got this to try out. The first time round using this product i sprayed 2-3 pumps directly onto my hair which i found was the wrong way for me to use it as the spray didn't distribute the oil evenly but rather focused on one spot and the ends of my hair was left like a grease ball and needed a good wash within a day! However after using it a few more times and instead spraying into my hands then smoothing onto the ends i found was the best way to apply this. It leaves your hair feeling so nourished, smooth and shiny - when applied to the body it leaves it feeling really moisturised, a little greasy but it does go away after a short while. It's 96% oil is created with a blend of grape, pomegranate, blackcurrant, apricot and sweet almond oils, which makes it have a very yummy fruity scent to it which makes it a joy to apply.
You can always spray this all over your body, no need to massage in as the oils seep into your skin.

The Roger&Gallet Ultra-Nourishing Oil normally retails for £25.50, however Escentual are currently having an offer for 1/3 off Roger&Gallet throughout August and this Ultra Nourishing Oil is just £16.83! - Shop here

Glossybox 3rd Birthday | August 2014

A few days ago Glossybox celebrated it's 3rd global anniversary - Happy 3rd Birthday Glossybox!
With a lovely new style of box, which took me forever to figure what they had changed so i had to compare with an older box - the obvious signs were what the box isn't glossy and instead replaced with a stunning matte finish. It's kept it's pretty pastel pink shade and the box feels sturdier and one thing i did notice first is that the edges aren't as round and replaced with a sharper trim edge which makes it easier to open and close the box. I much prefer this design!
To celebrate Glossybox's 3rd birthday the contents of the box included some great little goodies which i wouldn't say there was anything in there i would completely go gaga for - but in saying that i am pretty pleased with it's contents and would definitely use all of these up.
First up is a cleansing milk, this contains anti-oxidants and hydrating active ingredients to help remove any make up and pollution residues for radiant, refreshed and softer skin. I actually used this last night just for a quick speed review for this post and i can say that i do really like this cleansing milk. It's really light and gentle on the skin, i used this after using my cleansing oil to remove last traces of make up and i can vouch that it works well in that department. You can either apply this and rinse well or remove with a cotton pad. I didn't see much of a difference after using this the first time around but i do really like it for removing last traces of make up.
I have fallen in love with this hand cream already, i applied this as soon as i opened the box and just fell in love with the Mango Mandarin scent instantly! The cream is really moisturising and the perfect consistency i like for a hand cream to me, it's not to thick nor to thin. Just perfect!
SHOP AT: WWW.FEELUNIQUE.COM - Full size £6.95 / 80ml
Another full-sized item but a mini was this mini nail polish from Yves Rocher, this is the cutest thing ever! I haven't used this polish yet but i'm thinking this would be good for my next manicure.
This mini polish apparently has maxi colour which means it's highly pigmented and you only need to apply a thin layer of this and wait to dry and your finished!
Originally created specifically for Audrey Hepburn, this pre-shampoo treatment delivers unrivalled elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine without weighing down the hair and is suitable for all hair types. I have actually used this before in the past and loved it so much but just never got round to purchasing a new one so i'm so happy this was in the box this month. It's definitely not cheap but if you fancy a real treat this is the one!
SHOP AT: WWW.LOOKFANTASTIC.COM - Full size £38 / 250ml
I'm not really one for perfume samples but i don't mind one here and there, this scent is a soft floral sensual fragrance. It has high notes of Rosebuds laced with bergamot, white floral heart notes and a musk base note. This fragrance is supposed to capture the essence of 'Love'.
SHOP AT: WWW.BOOTS.COM - Full size £67 / 50ml
Lastly is a product from Glossybox themselves and it's this beautiful highlighter in Cashmere. Apply this to your cheekbones, lips, and other parts of the skin for a beautiful velvety shine. I used this yesterday on my cheekbones and i really like it, the texture is really smooth and feels really nice to apply. It blends really well and it gives off a really nice glow.
SHOP AT: WWW.KRYOLAN.COM - Full size £12.95 / 4.5g

Simple Kind To Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream SPF30

I'm hoping with all the hot weather lately that you've all been applying SPF sun cream, not just for your body but also for your face too. Most people tend to forget applying sun cream on their face as most think that make up helps cover it up from the sun because your foundation has SPF.. Though it's great if you are wearing make up in the sun to wear an SPF foundation but it's also very important to wear an SPF face cream underneath your make up.
I've been loving the Simple Kind To Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream* with SPF 30, this has been a total life saviour this Summer. Like most i tend to forget about applying SPF on my face when the sun is out - however since i've had this face cream i have made sure to use it every single day this Summer so far.
The cream comes out quite runny but when applied blends and sinks into your skin nicely, it's non-greasy and also smells lovely too! I like to apply 2 layers of this face cream before i apply any sort of make up on my skin just to make sure i am extra protected in the sun and i find that this works best for me too - i have fairly dry skin when it comes to the Summer and this face cream doesn't dry my skin out whatsoever nor does it leave it feeling sticky or greasy.
It has a perfect blend of multi-vitamins with SPF to give dehydrated, tired and dull looking skin a boost of hydration while protecting it from UVA and UVB rays.

The Simple Kind To Skin+ Protecting Moisture Cream retails for £3.99 and can be purchased at Boots - here.

What SPF face cream do you use?..

Color Wow One Minute Transformation

I'm not one for applying much to my hair, i find myself to get extremely lazy when it comes to styling that i end up having the same old boring hairstyle day in and day out. However, these past few months i've really wanted to change up my whole look so i've been using the Color Wow One Minute Transformation* to help me achieve those hairstyles.
Designed to help with dry damaged hair to make it look more smooth and shiny within an instant.
The Color Wow One Minute Transformation can be used to help quench thirsty hair just use as a day to day styling cream to refresh your hairstyle.
I've been using this cream mainly on the ends of my hair as i find that's where it's most damaged from the colouring i do, i just like to take a pea-sized amount of this and evenly distribute it throughout the ends. I then like to take a tiny amount just on the top of my hair to help smooth away flyaway's and any fizziness i may have.
The texture is quite thick as a normal cream would be and you only really need a pea-sized amount each use.. I found using more than a pea-sized could end up leaving your hair a tad greasy.

The Color Wow One Minute Transformation is currently on offer at Space NK for only £16.50!

Sponsored Video: Introducing Dove Advanced Hair Series

Have you ever wondered if your using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair?.. I have always been the one to just pick and choose between them and go for the ones that are on offer at the time but never have i actually thought to myself 'am i using the right one's?'
I'm sure a lot of people do the same thing and just go for the cheapest shampoo and conditioners and then wondered why they don't do anything for your hair!
Dove have just introduced a new hair series which depending on what your hair lacks, mine lacks in moisture and is very flat. I'd love to add more volume to my hair and just a bit more texture.. Which is why i picked the Oxygen Moisture Range.. I picked up the shampoo and conditioner to try out and i've been using it for the past 2 weeks and definitely can see the results. My hair feels a lot thicker and more bouncy with so much more volume to it.. I'd love to try more from the range especially the Pure Care Range which is great for damaged and thick hair like mine.
The range includes 3 types of advanced hair series, there is this one the Oxygen Moisture Range, The Pure Care Range and the Youthful Vitality Range.
In the video it shows three women who all have different types of hair concerns, all of which are addressed by the Dove Advanced Hair Series.

The Oxygen Moisture Range for those with flat hair that lack moisture and volume.
The Pure Care Range for dull, dry, damaged, thick hair.
The Youthful Vitality Range for aged, thinned hair.

The Dove Advanced Hair Series is now available at Boots and Superdrugs.

You can also keep up to date and get more info on the Dove Facebook Page.

Top 5 Summer Fragrances #fragrancefridays

Now that Summer is nearly over it was only fitting to do a Top 5 Summer Fragrances for todays #fragrancefridays.
If you haven't quite picked up on the trend yet i do like me some perfumes, especially sweet fruity or floral ones.
Though i've reviewed most of these in a separate post's, so i'll link all the review posts along side each perfume if you want a proper read through each one..

A gorgeous fruity floral perfume, definitely one of my favourites from Vera Wang so far! It has a really lovely warm scent of Vanilla, Blonde Woods and Creamy Musk, then really sweet lovely high notes of Raspberry, Sparkling Pear and heart notes of Jasmine. This scent smells gorgeous and the perfect Summer scent.

A light, fresh and airy perfume, the See By Chloe has a beautiful blend of Jasmine, Water Hyacinth and a sweet base of Apple Blossom in a gorgeous birdcage glass bottle. Really light and perfect for everyday wear.

A lovely feminine floral fragrance, opening with sparkling citrus notes and green galbanum. With the heart notes being Jasmine and intensive base notes of earthy Patchouli. A very gorgeous feminine and elegant scent.

This is my go-to scent all year round but had to include it in my Top 5 Summer Fragrances, i love wearing this for work as it's so light and fresh. A sweet fruity floral combination, with notes of Cranberry and Tonka Mousse. A perfect everyday wearable scent.

A fresh fruity floral scent beautifully crafted from luscious fruits, blushing florals and soft woods. A very hard-to describe unique scent. With top notes of Fresh Fruits and Flowers, Lychee, Tangerine and Magnolia Petals and base notes of Creamy Sandalwood, Apricot Nectar, Cashmere Musk and a blend of Woods.

What's been your favourite go-to Summer scent?...

July/August Empties #5

It's been another long month over and done with and i have another batch of empties to share with you all! I managed to use up quite a few hair products last month which i'm SO happy about as they have been sitting around for ages waiting to be used up.
The first is the Orofluido Conditioner*, i managed to use up the shampoo back in May which i showed in my May Empties post.. And of course it always takes me way longer to use up conditioners! I wrote a whole review on both the shampoo and conditioner which you can go read in the link above.
Another conditioner i managed to use up was the Herbal Essences Rainforest Conditioner, this one is Ginger, Cinnamon and Banana scented which smells absolutely divine! I not really keen on the Herbal Essences shampoo or conditioners but loved these ones!
I also managed to use up the VO5 Revive Me Daily 2 in 1 - not only do i love this 2 in 1 my boyfriend loves it to, these are always on offer so i do tend to reach for these more. This smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft and smooth.
Lastly for hair care is the Superdrugs Pro Vitamin Full Volume Shampoo, i admit that i only got this shampoo because the scent reminded me of my nan.. does anybody else do that??.. but actually this shampoo is pretty awesome to, really inexpensive and works wonders! Huge thumbs up from me and i'll definitely try out some of the other shampoos in the Superdrugs own range.
For skincare i used up, or shall i say my boyfriend mainly used up because he stole it from me.. The Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2in1 Wash and Mask, i've said this over and over again.. This face mask/wash is a total skin saviour! Every time my skin needs a little pick me up i always reach for this, it seems as though my boyfriend has also reached for this when his skin needs a little pick me up to - absolutely amazing and will also repurchase this!
Lastly is a bath product and not one i would normally purchase but actually been really liking, the Avon Strawberry Sorbet Bubble Bath, i haven't used any Avon bath products for about 6-7years now after a bad experience the first time i swore off their bath products. However, when i was round my mums i saw she picked up a bunch of these and it was fitting because we were running low, she gave me a bottle. This smells gorgeous and works like any other body wash, except this didn't irritate my skin at all, going to try pick up more of these when they are on offer!
