Summer Nail Polish Favourites | 2014

Nothing is more joyful than switching up your nail colour for the Summer, it's one of my favourite things to do! Then once Summer is over and done with, being able to wear darker shades for the Winter!
It's no surprise that i've picked purely pastels for this post but honestly, pastel shades are the way to go for Summer time.
I honestly couldn't pick a favourite out of all of these, i love each and every one of them - not only are they great to mix and match to suit your outfits, the brightness really does give you that feel good mood. It's the simple things that make your day, sometimes for me it's just having brightly coloured nails!
I currently have my nails painted like this now, not taking in the fact it's been a few days and it's chipped like hell now but i do enjoy having different coloured random painted nails.

July Glossybox 2014 - Stars & Stripes

With another month comes another Glossybox, this months theme is 'Stars & Stripes' - i didn't receive a GlossyMag this month.. Have they stopped doing that now??.. Because i didn't receive a mag i have no idea as to why it's Stars & Stripes theme for July however a quick online says:

Special Edition GLOSSYBOX filled with American beauty heroes

The July box claims to be filled with 4 full sized products and one sample - I was a tad disappointed to see that there wasn't a Tarte Mascara in there as many people got the mascara and i was so hoping to see it inside the box but nope.
Carmex Lip Balm - £2.69 *FULL SIZE
I've already used this lip balm before in the past and still do now, i love this lip balm and constantly repurchase it when i can. It's amazing for dry chapped lips and smells amazing too! This is a must-have staple for your handbag!
SHOP AT: graftonbeauty.co.uk
DR Bronner's Magic Liquid Soaps - Baby Mild Liquid Soap *SAMPLE
I've heard a lot about the DR Bronner's Magic Liquid Soaps, apparently it's a multi-use product and so many people use it for so many different things. It has a blend of Organic Coconut, Palm, Olive, Hemp and Jojoba Oil as well as pure vitamin E. It has many great ingredients inside and sounds amazing! Can't wait to use this.. Apparently you can even use it to clean your make up brushes and it works wonders??.. May have to give that a try..
SHOP AT: drbronner.co.uk
Color Club Nail Polish in Glossy Seal - $8 *FULL SIZE
Color Club nail polishes are made in New York, with non-toxic, cruelty free ingredients. The shade Glossy Seal was actually formulated just for the July Glossybox's.
I quite like this shade, not something i'd normally go for but it is gorgeous - the wand has a thin tip which makes it easier to apply.
SHOP AT: shopcolorclub.com
ABSOLUTE New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer - $4.99 *FULL SIZE
I'm actually excited about this eyeshadow primer as i've just ran out - i've actually got this on today and so far so good!
This eyeshadow primer is said to be oil-free, ultra creamy formula, evens skin tone around the eye and keeps eyeshadow crease-free through out the day.
SHOP AT: nicka.com
Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd Mineral Lipstick in Cat Walk - £20 *FULL SIZE
Lastly is this lipstick from Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd, the shade in Cat Walk which is a gorgeous pink shade! - However £20 for this lipstick?? Is this lipstick high end or something?.. It's more expensive than MAC!
The lipstick is smooth and creamy and applies extremely well, the shade is gorgeous and really pigmented to. It can be worn quite sheer or can easily be built up.

July Beauty Haul

Uh oh, i've been shopping!! I honestly do feel like i need a big slap on the wrist as my bank balance has taken a right ol' battering this month - not only that but i do have another sneaky order arriving soon which i may just show you in next months beauty haul.
In all honesty though i've been behaving myself lately when it comes to purchasing beauty products.. i've been on a mission, well me and the boyfriend have - to use up as many beauty products as we can which includes face washes, shampoos and conditioners, creams etc before we can buy anymore and we've done pretty well so far so i thought it was about time to treat myself again! We have a bad habit of purchasing products and not using them up fully before moving onto the next so it's now a strict rule in this house to use up products first before we can even think of opening another!

I'm not going to ramble about these products to much as i am most likely doing single reviews of each of these products..
L'Oreal Infallible Foundation in Golden Beige - £9.99
L'Oreal Lumi Magique in Light - £8.49 -- Buy one get 2nd half price with selected L'Oreal products.
Barry M Waterproof Eyeliner in Black - £3.99
Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Waterproof Mascara in Black - £7.99 -- Save up to £3 with selected Bourjois

What have you picked up recently?..
- all items were purchased with my own money.

I WENT A LITTLE CRAZY ON PURSES

Nobody and i mean nobody in the whole world needs more than one purse, let alone three in one go! Normally when people shop for purses their like 'oh yeah i like that purse' and stick to getting the' one purse. However, if your me and see a sale going on at Pauls Boutique.. one of your favourite all time brands then your like yeah.. i kinda need to go crazy and get 3! - and what's not to love about a good old sale!
Pauls Boutique are constantly having sales and i've managed to resist a fair few over the past few years however my weaknesses are purses and handbags and Pauls Boutique are full of them - a warning if you have a major addiction, do not subscribe to the mailing list or you WILL get tempted... very easily..

I've had my eye on the 'India' purses for a while now, well ever since they were released - i love the style of these purses - very similar to the Kate Spade ones. As you can see i not only picked up 1 but 2 of these purses in 2 different colours.
The above - India Block Colour Purse in Taupe is just perfect.. They did send me the wrong colour, different to the images anyway.. The images online show the purse to be mainly taupe, outside and inside with a hint of orange.. However this purse is taupe on the outside and bright orange on the inside. Was a little disappointed but i've honestly fallen in love with it so i didn't mind that much..
I bought this purse the second time round as it wasn't on sale when i made my first purchase.. On sale this purse was £12.50!
The other PB India style purse was in this bright orange - isn't she a beauty! I cannot wait to start using this next. The colours are the complete opposite to the India Taupe one shown above, with the bright orange being on the outside and the taupe being on the inside. The India purses have a button fastening, 8 card slots, 4 cash slots, ID pocket and zip compartment pocket at back for loose change.
I believe this is no longer available on the website which is a shame! I picked this up for just £14 on sale!
The last purse i picked up was a little different to ones a normally go for, this one is called the PB Jade Block Patent Purse in Dusty Pink - this purse has a zip closure and has 4 card compartments, a note compartment and a small cash pocket.
This is ideal for 'just popping to the shops' - it's small enough to carry your essential cards plus some spare change and fits nice and snug in a shoulder bag.
This is also unavailable to purchase now, however they do have other colours to choose from - i kinda have my eye on the Jade Block Patent Purse in Mushroom next..

PLEASE NOTE: THESE PURSES WERE BOUGHT ON SALE SO PRICES MAY NO LONGER BE THE SAME AND MAY HAVE GONE BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL PRICE.

Remember to go check out the Pauls Boutique website and if you fancy treating yourself then use this code to save 10% off your order, this even works on sale items too ;)

Ralph Lauren Big Pony EDT 2 - Pink #fragrancefridays

Does anyone else have different perfumes for different occasions? For me, i like to call this fragrance my 'work fragrance'..
If you haven't seen these already, which i'm sure many of you have as these were released last year.. This perfume is part of the Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection - a set of 4 all labelled for 1 to 4. This scent is number 2 Pink.
The four scents in this collection // 1Blue - 2Pink - 3Yellow - 4Purple.
I was torn between the blue and the pink but ended up going for the pink as i personally find it more refreshing and because i bought this for work i wanted something that was light and airy.

I would describe this scent as a floral fruity combination - featuring key ingredients of Cranberry and Tonka Mousse, it's a very fresh, light and feminine scent which i'd say is perfect for everyday wear.
The gorgeous pink bottle is extremely eye catching with a blue number 2 on one side and the Ralph Lauren Polo Pony icon on the other.

The Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection is available to purchase at The Perfume Shop for £41.50 each for a 50ml bottle. - link

PLAYING & FEEDING BABY SEAGULLS

Most people like to start their mornings with a nice cup of coffee and some breakfast but for me i've always started out my morning by throwing some bread out to the seagulls/pigeons and all the other birds - it's mainly the seagulls and pigeons that come out to collect their breakfast though.
I had a funny morning with the baby seagulls today (not sure of  their actual names i'm sure they have proper names) - as i stepped out the door i was greeted by the 2 baby seagulls who actually live on our roof! Yep - you heard that right! They built a nest or i presume mummy seagull did and they have lived there ever since it's been about 3years now and i've watched these baby seagulls grow up.
Anyway after feeding the baby seagulls they decided they wanted to play and yep i was playing fetch with them! FETCH WITH SEAGULLS! Surprisingly they are actually a lot smarter than you think, you throw a log for them to go fetch and they do, they even bring it back to you and drop it at your feet! CRAZY RIGHT?
The other seagull was actually playing with a bouncy ball i had found in the garden - it was pretty amazed by it!..

How do you like to spend your mornings?..

Sponsored Video: Slim.Fast Moments #SlimFastMoments

With Summer comes a lot of sunshine and with that there's festivals, BBQs and of course holidays and beach days - For men, it's all about showing off the abs and for women.. Well it's about showing off our bikini bodies that we've worked hard on for months on hand.
Especially as we are still recovering from the colder months where we've packed a few to many pounds on. We all need a little reminding some times that we need to look after ourselves a bit more and we all have little reasons as to why we want to lose a little weight.
With Slim.Fast they're there to motivate you and help you lose those extra pounds - that's why they created the Slim.Fast 3.2.1 plan to help us all - plus it really does work!
I've been on many weight loss programmes, not because i feel like i need to lose a ton of weight just because i like feeling motivated to keep myself healthy, to cut out all the bad stuff i eat and just to look after my body more, plus losing those few extra pounds is just a bonus really.
Weather it's to lose a few pounds or just to tone up for your next holiday, Slim.Fast have proven to help those lose weight and maintain a healthy eating and their target weight thereafter.
The Slim.Fast 3.2.1 plan is designed to deliver an intake of approximately 1,400 calories a day for women and approximately 1,600 calories per day for men - which could result to 1 or 2 pounds weight loss a week! The plan is built around replacement products (power shakes and meal replacement bars) and a selection of tasty meals.

This video shows 3 scenarios where a woman is at a wedding and catches the bouquet and her dress rips, then in the changing rooms and she can't get into a skirt, then the last scenario is when she gets tagged in a photo and we all get those moments where we just don't want to see what our friends have tagged us in.. I can totally relate to that!
Now just because they are there to motivate you, doesn't mean we can't all laugh about those moments together.. That's what they like to call #SlimFastMoments

If your thinking of losing weight or just seeking some motivation, join the flexible Slim.Fast 3.2.1 plan today!

Eucerin 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Fluid

Ever since the Bioderma craze which made me convert to using cleansing fluids instead of face wipes i've been solely sold on the whole concept and idea of using water cleansers to remove my make up.
It's been a while since i used Bioderma as when i ran out i was simply trying out other brands who were also bringing the idea forward such as L'Oreal which i have also tried and loved.. However i have never loved a cleansing fluid as much as i love the Eucerin 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Fluid* - the problem i find with other cleansing fluids is that as great as they are at removing face make up such as foundation, concealers, blusher etc.. i find most of them that i've tried have lacked when it comes to removing eye make up, i wear waterproof mascara and eyeliner so i rarely find great products which remove the both quickly.
That's where the Eucerin 3in1 Micellar Cleansing Fluid comes in as it's not only great at removing facial make up but also eye make up and i find myself using less of this on a pad than i do other's to.
Normally one cotton pad soaked in this fluid removes my whole face make up and another pad to remove my eye make up - with any other cleansing fluids it normally takes 3-5 pads to remove all make up.
It's also great for sensitive skin and is made for all skin types, you don't need to rinse your face afterwards and it also tones your skin to!
This is by far the best cleansing fluid i've used, much better than the Bioderma in my opinion it's also around about the same price a 200ml bottle coming in at £9! Both products can be found at Escentual.

What do you think?.. Will you be giving this a try?..

Joan Collins Contour Velvet - Rose

It's a Joan Collins kind of love day today - if you missed the last post of the Joan Collins Fade To Perfect Concealer then go check it out!
Another Joan Collins product i have been loving lately is the Joan Collins Contour Velvet in Rose* - this gorgeous blusher is just to die for, with pretty gold packaging and simple branding it's hard not to fall in love with this.
The blusher is in the shade Rose which is self explanatory as it's a beautiful soft rose pink shade. It's creamy like powder texture makes it so easy to apply with just a sweep of this and your good to go. The blusher is extremely pigmented so you'll just need a light tap of this on your brush, it's a shimmer blush however it doesn't come off heavy once applied and gives your skin a nice natural flush.
It also comes with a small, fine, goat hair brush which i don't use however the brush is really soft, i just much prefer using my own blush brushes.

The Joan Collins Contour Velvet comes in 4 shades, Rose, Coral, Dusty Pink and Natural Glow and retails for £22.
Go check out the Joan Collins Website for more details.

Joan Collins Fade To Perfect Concealer

I don't know about you guys but i simply cannot live without concealer - concealer and i are best friends you see and have been for the longest time now..
I've been testing out the Joan Collins Fade To Perfect Concealer in Fair* for the past 2 weeks and so far i've been loving it! I'm a complete newbie with Joan Collins make up so this is a first time impression on the brand itself.
I'm sure we all know who Joan Collins is but incase you didn't she's an English actress, author and columnist.. she's well known for her film roles in Dynasty and The Bravado's which were both released way before my time but me and my mum have always admired her work.
The Joan Collins Fade To Perfect Concealer comes in 3 different shades - Fair, Medium and Dark.. I picked the shade fair to try out, despite the fact i am pretty tanned i did think the medium shade was a little to dark for my skin tone.
The concealer is a really creamy consistency, not to thin and not to thick and blends really well. I much prefer using this for under my eyes as the coverage is quite sheer, however it's definitely something which could be built up but i much prefer a heaver coverage for any blemishes i may have.
The concealer is perfect for under eyes and when blended out it completely covers any under eye bags you may have and just lighten and brightens your entire under eye.

The Joan Collins Fade To Perfect Concealer retails for £18 and can be found on the Joan Collins Website.

Have you ever tried any Joan Collins make up?...

Aromatherapy Soothing Cleansing Balm

If you know me well then you'll already know how much i love Aromatherapy Associates products, i am already obsessed with there Revive Body Wash and there bath oils.. Now i am currently obsessing over the Aromatherapy Soothing Cleansing Balm*.. like with all there products i am obsessed with the calming and soothing scent and it's no surprise that i would fall in love with the Soothing Cleansing Balm to.
Ever since i came back from my holidays my skin has been a major annoyance - dry, flakey, dehydrated.. the list goes on.. I've been slowly trying to get my skin back on track day by day and when this fell into my hands i was instantly sold and desperate to try something new.
The Aromatherapy Soothing Cleansing Balm claims to wipe away impurities and make-up resulting in a clean, smooth and fresh complexion.. After using this cleansing balm for a little over 2 weeks now i can definitely say i'm sold! Compared to cleansing oils which i normally use, this is a thick cream like texture which just melts onto your skin and makes removing make up seem like a dream..
It's amazing at removing anything off of your skin, however with eyes i did find it a little more tricky seeing as though if you get the product in your eyes it does tend to sting like mad - nothing some warm water couldn't solve but i advice you to remove your eye make up another way, such as an eye make up remover lotion or use a cleansing oil..
It's also good to use for sensitive skin as it's very calming and soothing and it's also great for dehydrated skin - like mine!

The Aromatherapy Soothing Cleansing Balm retails for £37 and can be purchased 'here'.

What do you think of this cleansing balm? Would this be something you'd be interested in..?

Summer Essentials With NIVEA

Seeing as though it's the hottest day of the year for us so far in the UK i thought i would share some favourite Summer Essentials, now i'm not talking about bikinis, beach towels or flip flops i'm talking more about the beauty essentials for Summer time which are a must have in your beach bag's!
Let's start off with the more important products, being as though it's SO hot today and we've all been advised to stay in at peak times when it's going to be the hottest.. Not all of us have the luxury of staying in all day when you have to step out the house for work. That's why it's so so important to wear sun protection not just for your body but for your face to!
The NIVEA Protect & Refresh is an invisible cooling mist for your body and it's been a total life saver lately.. i just ran out of my previous sun protection spraying mist and needed a new one - this one is 30 high and is water-resistant. If your anything like me and cannot stand waiting for things to dry you will love this! It is so easy to apply simply just spray your whole body from your neck downwards, the great thing about spraying mists is that it's got great coverage making sure you don't miss any areas.
It's always important to wear a sun tan lotion on your face to, many people miss this step and think foundations with SPF normally cover that part but it's always best to play it safe. I've been using the NIVEA Protect & Bronze Face Cream, again this is 30 high and is also water-resistant so great if you want to go swimming or hang out at the beach.. This contains no self-tan and it's really light and non greasy.. Apply this generously before sun exposure and let to dry before applying another layer to ensure adequate coverage and no missed areas. Again, apply frequently through out the day.
Another thing we normally forget is to protect our lips, it's all well and good that we protect our face and body but a lot of people normally forget to protect their lips. The NIVEA Raspberry Rose Lip Butter is great for that, though it doesn't contain SPF it's really moisturising and smells amazing.. I would suggest an SPF lip balm if your out in the sun but this one is great if your already have dry chapped lips, apply this through out the day and before bed - this will help keep your lips smooth and moisturised.

Now when it's hot we tend to sweat a lot, i hardly sweat even when working out but lately i've been sweating out like crazy and deodorant has been my new best friend.. The NIVEA Powder Touch is amazing as it's 48 hour protection, quick drying and smells great to!
Lastly, as much as we tend to avoid make up when it's hot we aren't all as confident in leaving the house without make up.. even if it is just going to the beach! Once at the beach however remove your make up with the NIVEA Sensitive Cleansing Wipes.. these are a god send, i don't normally use face wipes especially because my skin is really sensitive and dry. However these face wipes are great for sensitive skin, leave it feeling really moisturised, it's free of perfume, colours and alcohol and contains vitamin E and Provitamin B5! Plus it's also amazing at removing waterproof mascara to! Bonus!

So have a great day today in or out of the sun and remember to pack your Summer Essentials.

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza #fragrancefridays

Here's something different from the past #fragrancefridays, in a gorgeous miniature size bottle comes the gorgeous Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza.
Described as a luxurious fragrance that celebrates feminine grace and seduction - the scent is very warm, delicate yet spicy at the same time. With heart notes of grapefruit and pear for the opening scent, and Almond Powder and Golden Osmanthus to add a touch of luxury, then with base notes of patchouli and white leather leaving a delicate sweet and spicy scent.
It's definitely not something i'd normally go for, however i am really loving this scent lately the pure sweetness of it and the hint of spice really does kick off a lovely all round luxurious scent.
Not only that but the cuteness of the bottle just makes it all the more joy of using!
The Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza* isn't cheap at all but if you fancy giving yourself or maybe a loved one a treat, this would be the ultimate gift of elegance and femininity.

The perfume comes in 3 various sizes:

What do you think of this perfume?... is this something you'd go for?..

BeeGood Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm

For the past couple of months now my lips have been so extremely dry and chapped, obviously i blame the whether for this.. My lips can never make up it's mind weather it want's to be moisturised or just stay dry all the time, most days it just wants to be a pain and despite what i do it's still dry and chapped!
I've been using the BeeGood Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm* for a few weeks now, every night before bed and in the morning at least 2-3 hours before make up application and it's been working wonders!
Normally at night time before i go to bed i like to slap a load of this lip balm on my lips so that it keeps hydrated through out the night, plus lately because it's been so hot i've had to have the fan on which obviously we all know that it's bad as it not only dries your skin out it also dries your lips out to - but honestly the heat has been insane lately!
In the morning my lips are normally really smooth after using this lip balm but as soon as i brush my teeth and do my morning routine it's normally back to it's normal self - dry.  So, i apply a thin layer of this in the morning and go about my routine, i also like to apply this during the day to.. weather i'm at work or staying in for the day!
I find this lip balm to be extremely moisturising, non-sticky and really smooth - it says it's 'Vanilla & Honey' but i can barely pick up a scent on it though and when i do it's only really a hint of the vanilla. It also doesn't have a taste to it, not that i like to eat lip balms but normally when i apply them i can slightly taste the balm when i lick my lips - this on the other hand doesn't really have a scent or taste to it, it's just pretty basic.. However in saying that, basic or not, it's still a pretty decent lip balm and one that i will carry on using until i squeeze the last little lot out of it's tube.

The BeeGood Vanilla & Honey Lip Balm retails for £4.75 and can be purchased 'here'.

What's your favourite lip balm?..

*NEW Anna Sui Make Up Palettes

Yesterday before i left for work i received an exciting package, one that i was expecting but wasn't expecting so soon! I ripped open the package and in my hands were these two beauties! The brand new Anna Sui Make Up Palettes, eeeeekkk! Not only are they just completely stunning on the outside with gorgeous floral designs on both, but inside they are just as pretty to look at to!
The make up palettes include a lip colour palette and an eye colour palette, both of which contain very gorgeous everyday wearable shades..
Each palette contains 10 different shades, the Anna Sui Lip Palette* ranges from a clear shimmer gloss to a barbie pink to the more deeper red and chocolate brown shades. They are definitely quite build able so you could wear a thin layer for a hint of colour or you could really build the shade up depending on what you prefer, i wore the bottom left shade yesterday to work a deep pink 'your lips but better' shade. It was extremely moisturising, the gloss wasn't to sticky and the colour pay off was pretty amazing to.
All the shades are quite pigmented and again can easily be built up or if you prefer to wear it sheer then that can be done also.. The palette also comes with a handy lip brush to for easy and accurate application.
The Anna Sui Eyeshadow Palette* also contains 10 beautiful shades, with shades to suit everyday make up or even evening make up, they are extremely pigmented some shades more than others and they are very long wearing. I wore a couple of the shades from this palette yesterday and they did not budge at all through out the day, they are all really buttery smooth that makes the application a hell of a lot easier, the palette also includes a double ended eyeshadow brush with one side of the brush to apply the eyeshadow and the other end being a blender.
Both palettes are lightly fragranced with the scent of roses which personally i love, especially for the lip gloss/stains!

I am totally in love with these new Anna Sui Make Up Palettes and can definitely see myself using these in future tutorials and what's best is that they are currently 50% off at Escentual
- That means £14 each for 10 beautiful shades!
You can see more swatches of the lip and eye palettes here - link

Also if you want to enter to win these gorgeous palettes then head on over the Escentual's Instagram where they are giving away both of these palettes! - Simply follow them on Instagram and like the giveaway image.

What do you think of these palettes? Will you be adding them to your wish list this month?..
