La Roche-Posay CC Cream

As it's finally getting hotter here in the UK it's about time i brought out the BB and CC creams, now CC creams are fairly new to me, i've never tried any nor have i really wanted to. Honestly, i thought CC creams were practically BB creams.. I mean what's even the difference?..
For me i see a slight different not massive but a slight, the coverage in this compared to a BB cream's in the past is slightly higher and the texture feels much smoother on the skin and i feel like it even's out the coloration much better as well.
I've only ever used one La Roche-Posay product and that was the Effaclar Duo which is amazing by the way if you haven't tried it already, stop and go buy it now!
The La Roche-Posay CC Cream is available in one universal shade that is adapted to suit fair and medium skin, it has a silky like texture and is enriched with ultra soothing La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water and naturally deprived Ampophenol which helps to neutralise long term redness.
It's non-oily and works really well with dry skin, it doesn't sit in the cracks and it doesn't dry the skin out either.
The CC cream practically glides on your skin, it can be applied with your clean fingers or a foundation brush i much prefer using a brush for a more even application without leaving any streaks.

The La Roche-Posay CC Cream is currently on offer from £19.50 to £16.55 - link.

Bee Good's Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser

The hot cloth cleansers have been big in the beauty world for a couple of years now, starting with Liz Earles famous Hot Cloth Cleanser which everybody raves about and now every company is bringing our their own version of hot cloth cleansers.
I loved the Liz Earles one but haven't purchased it in a long time as it's a little pricey and i've tried a few drugstore versions which haven't been as good but has kept me going.. And then i found the Bee Good's Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser*..
The price isn't much different to the Liz Earle one but it is slightly cheaper which is a bonus for me, it works amazingly well.. I actually much prefer this to the Liz Earle one and here's why.
The Bee Good's Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser is much more gentle on my skin and the cream has a much nicer uplifting scent to it, it also melts much quickly on the skin and removes literally all traces of make up, personally for me the Liz Earle cleanser still left some residue on the skin and it didn't remove the waterproof mascara properly not like this cream cleanser.
Bee Good is a brand new independent British brand which exclusively use Britsh bee ingredients in all of their products with naturally active botanicals and plant oils.
I am definitely in love with this product and have been using it day and night since i first got it, the new Bee Good brand has really brought on a good impression so far and am definitely going to try out more of their products in the future.

The Bee Good's Honey & Propolis 2-in-1 Cream Cleanser retails for £11.50 - link
Along with the parcel they also sent me these amazing, by far the' best biscuits ever! Honestly, i ate these as soon as i got them and of course i had it with a nice cuppa tea.. Aren't they just adorable and they come in the most cutest vintage type box!..
I even had to look up these biscuits online so i can order myself some come payday, the biscuits are by a company called Biscuiteers in case you were wondering.
They also had this tag on it which you can actually tear up and plant in your garden with a little love and patience wild flowers will soon grow which will become a source of nectar for any honeybees in your garden. I'll defiantly be doing this so i can help all those busy bee's out there, as long as they don't sting me haha.

Go check out Bee Good's range of products here - link.

Yves Rocher Mascara Volume Vertige

I haven't tried out a new mascara in what seems like years, I've stuck to my beloved L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara for the past 2+ years that i had almost forgotten what it felt like using another mascara.
Compared to the L'Oreal mascara and this Yves Rocher Mascara Volume Vertige* the wand is much thicker and the texture is much wetter as well which leaves me to believe that this mascara isn't waterproof which is also one of the main reasons as to why i was a little sceptical on trying out this mascara as i use nothing but waterproof to hold up my curls.
I'd say this mascara would be perfect for those with perfectly curled lashes already(jealous), but unlike me my lashes are stubborn and require a lash curling device to curl and hold up my lashes. When i first applied the mascara it was great, lashes stayed perfectly in tact but during the day they started to flop and eventually within a few hours my lashes were flat out again.
The formula seems to wet to hold up lashes which is why i think this would be great for girls with curled lashes already and that don't need to curl them pre-hand.

This Yves Rocher Mascara Volume Vertige is currently half price at £10.50 and comes in 3 different shades - link.

Have you tried anything from the Yves Rocher brand?..

Believing in readings..

My story is a little weird but let me tell you why I believe in tarot readings. When I was a little girl I had my first reading after I lost a close friend of mine…my best friend. We were in Brighton one day and I was with my friends who knew of my loss and we walked past a shop. Something drew me in. It was a shop that sold tarot cards, angel cards, etc. In the upstairs of this shop, you could have your reading done.

Now back then I was a little girl - childish, immature, with no beliefs. As I walked in and sat down, my friends waited outside. I had an hour session with this really lovely lady. She shared the same name as my mum, Katie.

I'll state now that I had never met this lady before, nor did she know a single thing about me!

In this session we focussed on tarot card readings and also on palm readings, which if I’m honest I wasn’t really interested in. She also attempted to contact two of my loved ones. The first was my best friend Hannah who I lost. They just tell you what you want to hear to help you move forward, I thought. Then the next person she contacted was my granddad which was a  little unexpected as he had passed before I was even born. She spoke of how he watched over my sister and brother and how he was there for me when I fell over in the playground when I was 6 years old and cut my knee open. When I lost my best friend that year, he was also there.

Again, a part of me was thinking 'you’re making this all up' but when I left I wondered ‘how did she know I had a sister and brother?’ I never mentioned anything about them. How did she know I fell over in the playground aged 6 and cut my knee open?

I went home that day and did some research on readings and, as sad as it sounds, I believed in it.

The next time I had a reading was in November of last year. My boyfriend’s mum has a close friend called Lesley who comes to stay with us a few times a year and I asked her if she could help me as I was going through a bad patch.

She did some tarot card readings and though most of the cards I picked up were about having babies and the stress caused by work and family, it helped a lot. Again she got through to my granddad. She described how he was wearing this grey suit and tie and stood at the end of my bed smiling.

This creeped me out as this actually happened, in real life! When I went through a sad stage in my life, I basically cried myself to sleep. When I woke up after having a nightmare, there, at the end of my bed, was my granddad!

Now again, this could have been an hallucination. I have never believed in ghosts or fairies or aliens and, until that one day, I never believed in readings.

However, I wouldn't say I believe 100% but a part of me has some strong beliefs in readings and ghosts so I’m a little 50/50.

Every so often I like to look online for gifts for our family friend Lesley, so that when she comes round we can do readings together. I spotted these tarot cards from Holistic Shop. They also sell all sorts of cards from tarots, angel, animal and healing cards to CDs, DVDs, candles and crystals, plus lots more!

Do you believe?..

Today is a special day for this little blog as it turns 3 today! - i've just sat and thought about how quickly the past 3 years have gone and i can actually remember me writing my 2year blog anniversary post to! Crazy that is!
As you may have noticed that my blog hasn't been as lively on here lately as it used to be, mainly for one that i have opened up a new online shop - - However i'm so excited this year as i get back into blogging properly with a proper blogging schedule and i'll even be back on Youtube within the next couple of months!
Again, i just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has stuck by this little blog over these past few years and watch it grow with me. It's insane to think this blog is now 3 years old and how far it's come over the years! Of course i'll continue to blog more and more and hope you join me on this little journey of mine.

There are so many gadgets and apps out there which are designed for wish lists made easy, basically a site which you can go on and add a whole bunch of items which your lusting after.. Or just make a wish list of some of your favourite items. It's such an easy way to keep on track with what you need to buy come pay day or just stuff to slowly buy for yourself over time.. I love making wish lists as you may be able to tell from my blog, it's an easy way for me to basically put everything into one so that i can purchase or just send the list to a friend or family member if they ever ask me what to buy for my birthday, it's genius really. Suppose! is a fairly new site to me in which you can create lists of your favourite things, wish lists, or even make a list of some items to get for your home, garden, or maybe some fashion items your lusting after.
I love the whole idea around Suppose! as it's easier for me to add things into one little space and add it into a blogpost so that it's just a simple click-through to purchase, which will then save you the time and energy to find it yourself online. I'll definitely be using it more when i get back into Youtube and when i create future wish lists! You can also see and follow other peoples lists to so you can take a snoop at what they are loving to. I currently have a list on there of my Beauty Favourites which include a whole bunch of beauty items which i am loving or currently lusting after! It includes my favourite lipglosses at the moment which are the Tanya Burr Lipglosses and also my extremely loved Naked 3 Palette
I then have a wish list for some Home Items which i am in need of picking up, i love purchasing and making lists for homely items i think it's probably a favourite hobby of mine, redecorating and revamping the house. I recently picked up these H&M Cotton Cushion Covers which i am absolutely loving! The print is amazing and it's perfect for Spring/Summer time.

Feel free to check out my lists on Suppose! and don't forget to follow me to :)

How to make your filing cabinet useful

It’s one thing buying filing cabinets for your office and another thing actually putting them to good use. After all, in the hubbub of a busy day at your workplace, you might feel like you simply don’t have the time to carefully put pieces of paperwork in the perfect places time after time. The trouble is, if you’re not savvy when it comes to filing, you can quickly find yourself in a mess.

If this sounds all too familiar, now’s the time to take action. The fact is, by sticking to some basic principles, you should find it quick and easy to keep your office neat and tidy.

No time like the present

It’s tempting to put off tackling office chaos, but the longer you leave the task, the harder it will be. This means that when it comes to addressing office filing, there really is no time like the present!

The right filing cabinet

First and foremost, make sure you get the right storage solutions. There’s no point in choosing products just because they look pretty or they’re cheap. Size matters when you’re selecting filing cabinets. Think about how much paperwork you’ll need to store and opt for furniture that can accommodate this. If your office is small, you can buy tall cabinets to take advantage of the vertical space on offer.

Ideally, your cabinets shouldn’t be crammed full of documents, because this makes searching for them tedious. It can even put people off using the storage.

Don’t overload

On a related theme, if you’re using hanging folders, try to place only one manila folder or set of documents in each. This makes it much easier to rummage for specific items. To remove the temptation to cram too many items together, make sure you have a healthy supply of manila folders and hanging folders to hand.

Effective labelling is a must

When you go to the trouble of finding the right storage and buying suitable folders, make sure you don’t stumble at the final hurdle. Without effective labelling systems, your efforts will come to nothing.

Of course, exactly how you choose to label your files is up to you. Perhaps you’re a straight-down-the-line A to Z kind of person, or maybe you prefer to arrange your paperwork according to themes, such as ‘taxes’, ‘bank statements’ and so on. Whichever route you take, be consistent.

Regular clearouts

No matter how organised you are, eventually your filing cabinets will fill up. Rather than waiting until they are bursting at the seams, it helps to have regular clearouts of documents you no longer need. There’s something satisfying about trimming your paperwork like this. It can help you to keep a clear focus.

Of course, make sure you don’t accidentally go chucking away important documents that you’ll need in the future!

And relax...

OK, so whipping your office into shape and getting all of your filing in hand does require a little time and effort, but it really is worthwhile. Once you’ve cleared the clutter, your working space will look much better. Also, your day-to-day life will be that bit easier and less stressful.

Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Lipstick - Rose Equivoque

Yves Rocher is a French brand which i'm not quite familiar with but has been doing it's rounds on blogs for the past few months. Yves Rocher is the number one make-up brand in France selling all natural products.
Yves Rocher is a completely new brand to me as i've never tried any of their products before, in fact i've only recently jumped on board with the whole French Pharmacy skincare which everyone raves on about.
The Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Lipstick - Rose Equivoque* is a gorgeous dark red, plum brown shade which normally i'd stay well away from but once i applied it for the first time i was instantly sold, it's packaged in a shiny gold tube and like most lipsticks has a twist up twist down application.  I was instantly sold on the texture of the lipstick, it being creamy really moisturising and the colour pay off was perfect to.. It didn't cling onto the dry areas and it applies so smoothly, it has a metallic like sheen to it which leaves it with a lovely shiny finish to the lips.
I feel like now that i've tried one of the Yves Rocher Grand Rouge Lipsticks i need all of the shades, they have some beautiful nude and pinky shades which i'm dying to get my hands on next and like i said the colour payoff is simply amazing with the smoothest application ever.

This lipstick is currently half price, with the normal retail price at £19.50 and them currently only £9.75!  - time to pick up some more i think.. - link

Tips and advice for those considering breast augmentation

Breast augmentations are one of the most popular procedures available. It offers women the chance to alter their appearance if they feel something needs changing. Sometimes women can feel that their breasts are too small, particularly after a pregnancy or a significant weight loss. A breast augmentation involves putting an artificial implant either under the breast tissue, or sometimes, under the chest muscle behind the breast. Whilst it is a popular and now common procedure it is important to think your decision through thoroughly before undergoing surgery. We’ve compiled some helpful tips so that you can make an informed decision.
Preparing for your operation
If you’re thinking about having a breast augmentation then it is important to have a healthy and communicative relationship with your doctor, both before and after cosmetic surgery. They’ll be performing the procedure and guiding you through the process, so make sure you chose a doctor you are happy with. They will then explain how you should prepare for your surgery.
Your augmentation will take place under general anaesthetic, which means you’ll be asleep during your surgery. You’ll also be asked to fast about six hours before your surgery, so no eating or drinking, your surgeon will be able to tell you the exact time. Some operations can take place in just one day, others might see you staying overnight. Each person is different, so your needs will be assessed individually.
Before you go in for your operation be sure to ask any questions you may have. You
may experience some pain post-surgery, so it is important to have an open conversation with your doctor about managing pain and the best option available to you.

So that the most natural look can be achieved your doctor will want to measure your breasts and assess their shape, your skin and the position of your nipples. Your surgeon may also need to draw on your breasts to mark the operation site. A photograph will also be taken so that they can show you a clear ‘before and after’. This will show you how your body has changed, these images are treated as confidential.

What to expect after your surgery

After your surgery you will be feeling tired, so it is important to have a friend or relative take you home after. You’ll also be given pain killers as your anaesthetic wears off, this will help you to manage your pain and recover in an effective manner. Your stitches will be taken out after about a week. Depending on the type of stitches you have they should dissolve after about six weeks. You may need two weeks off work to recover, so make sure you make your employer aware of your surgical plans.
