The Year I Make It Happen

Okay, so i'm sure we all have New Year's Resolutions, here are a few of my Blogolutions.. But, the one thing i absolutely suck at is sticking to them! I am rubbish at keeping to things however this year i've made it my goal to achieve as many things as possible! I'm sure i'm not the only one with this problem and i'm sure a lot of you out there have trouble sticking to your New Year's Resolutions too!

Lloyds Bank have this fantastic 'Make it happen in 2014 app' where you can share your goals within 3 categories.. Home, Life and Money.  Follow the simple steps to create your personal goals for the year and they will give you a toolbox of helpful tips and ideas to inspire you to achieve your goals..
With that being said, here are a few of my personal goals for 2014..

Start my own business
This has something i've always wanted to do, this may sound a little silly to some but it makes perfect sense to me. I've always seen myself as a 'work at home' type person.. I've never really enjoyed working at the places i've worked and i've always dreamed of having my own business. One day i decided i wanted to open my own business and even though i'm still working on it now and it's been a long working process but i know once i've achieved it would be a massive tick of my list of things to do before i die and not just a New Year's Resolution..
Even though i'm keeping it under wraps on what my business is going to be for the moment.. If you were planning or have thought or starting your own business i say just go for it! There is a lot of planning involved, i suggest you note down every single thing possible that you will need, things to do etc and slowly tick off that list. Find something you are truly passionate about, weather that's making jewellery, clothes or even home decor.. Planning it all out is the number one key!

Save for a house
This may be on everyone's list but i really want to move out and have my own place with my boyfriend! We've been together 8 years this year and we've been living with his parents during that time and it can get a little stressful let me tell you that and sometimes i just feel like we need our own space. For this, me and my boyfriend have sat down and figured out how much we can put aside in either a savings account or into a piggy bank each month/week.. Minus out bills, expenses, traveling and food etc.. We've worked out how much we can afford to put away and will be sticking to this for the next year or two..

Clear debt
I did so well last year with my bills, i wouldn't quite call them debts as i'm not really in debt... Anyway last year in 2013 i managed to clear a total of 3 bills off so i'm only left with one bill to pay per month. Now i plan to be debt free by the end of this year and just have the occasional outgoings such as my phone bill.
I say when your trying to pay off debt or bills is that only pay what you can afford.. Don't leave yourself short every month to the stage where you can't even afford to eat or pay any other important bills such as gas or electric.. Work out how much you can afford to pay each creditor and stick to it monthly.  As soon as you get paid every month, or whenever you get paid.. Pay each of your creditors and if you have any extra then pay it to them.. Paying a little extra every month means you'll pay off your debt quicker.
Also when it comes to debt i know a lot of people worry about it a lot, i'd just say try not to stress about it so much.. If you can't afford to pay your credit card because you have just lost your job.. Phone them and tell them.. Most companies can freeze your account for a certain amount of time or even help set up a payment plan with them so you can pay something that's more affordable and suited to you..

There we have it, my personal goals for 2014 and one's i'm going to stick to all through-out the year!
Are there any personal goals you'd like to achieve in the year?.. Share them below!

Spring Green

Spring seems way to far away right now however that doesn't stop me from wearing green nail polish plus this colour goes perfectly with my bag (which i've just realised i may need to change soon as it's quite a Christmassy bag).
I've been trying to hunt down Barry M Spring Green for a while now as the last i saw of it was in the Summer time and after that it just vanished off the shelves.. I only managed to pick one up from chance as it was hidden behind another nail polish.. strange i know!
The colour probably doesn't fit with the whole Winter scene but i just love the whole 'pop of colour' and how when i wear dark coloured my nails just screams out at you!

What do you think of this colour?...

January Empties #1

Over the past few months i've collected all my empties in a box and saved it for a post or video, i was originally planning on making a video of all the products i've used up but i'm currently not 'feeling it'.
I thought instead of doing an empties post every other month, i'll try doing one every month as i always use a bunch of products up and they pile up so quickly! In these empties posts i'll be doing a mini review of all items and i'll also say if i'd repurchase them also.. I put myself on a spending ban when it comes to skincare, haircare and occasional make up as i have enough to last me a fair few months so these products needed using up!
L'Oreal 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil - I bought this way back in July last year whilst on holiday in Newcastle and i adore this cleansing oil, it's not my favourite but it's definitely worth checking out. I've already repurchased this and about 1/4 through the new bottle, i think i'll always keep repurchasing this as it makes removing make up so much quicker and easier. Plus the oils have really helped with my dry skin to!
Bioderma Sensibio H20 - I bought this when all the hype was going on around it, i liked the product at first but i wouldn't consider it a staple in my skincare routine.
It's a great product, great for removing make up but i much prefer cleansing oils so with that being sad i don't think i'd repurchase this unless there was a major sale on this item.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - This is by far my favourite cleansing oil and something i would constantly go back to, I haven't repurchased this just yet but i will when i get some extra money. I received a mini size of this cleansing oil in my YouBeauty advent calendar which i'm saving until i can afford to get myself another one.
CaudalĂe Beauty Elixir - I bought this way back last year and used this up within a few weeks! I love this stuff and actually forgot how much i loved it, i think it's time for a repurchase.. This beauty elixir is great for calming redness before make up application and is also so refreshing to!
REN Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser* - Again, i loved this cleanser! It's so gentle on the skin, smells absolutely amazing and it's gentle enough to use for everyday.. I'm waiting on payday to repurchase this as i've missed using this everyday since it ran out last month. Definitely my all time favourite exfoliator i've used to date.
L'Oreal Skin Perfection Radiance Reveal Gentle Exfoliator - I bought this around the same time i bought the L'Oreal 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil, i like this exfoliator but i wouldn't say it's amazing! It works, removes dead skin cells and dry patches but i wouldn't say this was as good as the REN exfoliator.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Shower Gel - I received this with my perfume but i never think to use the body lotions or shower gels they put in with the gift sets however i ran out of shower gel and remembered i had this! This stuff smells incredible, exactly the same as the perfume.. However it is a little overpowering so doubt i'd repurchase this! Especially now that i've seen the price of this too!
Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath - I like to treat myself every so often with Soap & Glory products, they aren't exactly cheap but i do love splashing out a bit when it comes to bath products and the first place i go to is Soap & Glory. This bubble bath smells amazing and i'd definitely repurchase this over and over again!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light - I've used up countless of these over the past year and i just love this concealer! It's a cult beauty product in the blogging world and i can see why that is. The coverage is very full on and it hides any blemishes i may have! This also works great under eyes and conceals any redness to! - I've already repurchased this many a times and will constantly repurchase this for as long as it's around!
L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara - This is my favourite mascara, of all time! I have tried so many mascara's in the past and none of them beats this one. This is my favourite make up item and something i wish they still stocked in stores. It's a bugger trying to find this nowadays so i end up ordering this online on Amazon.

So that was it for this month's empties post, what products have you used up lately?..

Blogolutions - Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic day, unlike mine which i spent ill with a horrible bug that's going around and i've been ridiculously jealous of those (on Instagram) who have posted pictures of what they did! However, i did manage to stay up and watch the London fireworks (on tv) with the boyfriend, as it is a tradition for us.. One of my New Year's resolutions is to go London for New Years as i'd love to watch the fireworks in real life and not on tele.
As with every year, i like to note down some New Year resolutions, i have wrote a few personal one's down for myself on my phone and i'm sharing with you all my Blogolutions for 2014.

1. Blog 4-5 times a week! - i say this time and time again, but i need to blog more.. I've wrote down a schedule for blogging, filming etc.. so i'm hoping this will help. Plus last year was a really tough year for me so i'm excited to get back into blogging and filming again.

2. Upload a video 1-2 times a week! - This is the same as blogging, i need to film more videos! I haven't made a video in months and i do blame that on being lazy but again i've had a lot of troubles in 2013 so in 2014 you will definitely see more of me!

3. Start Vlogging - This is the exciting part, well for me anyway. You get to see more into my life as i'll be doing vlogs every so often. I'm not sure how i'm gonna do it yet, weather that's once or twice or week or one week i'll vlog out of the month.. i don't know but i'll be vlogging in 2014.

4. Go to more blogging events - I always get invited to events but i never end up going to them, i'm either working or it's to far away to travel. However, this year i've made it my goal to go to more events and meet more bloggers. I've only ever been to one event since i've started blogging (nearly 3 years now!)

5. Interact more - I find it hard sometimes to interact with all you beauties, not because i don't want to! I'm just socially awkward :(  However i'm going to start interacting with you all more, weather that's replying to your comments or tweets etc.. I will make this my number 1 goal...

So there we have it, that's my New Years Blogolutions for 2014, did you make any resolutions for the new year?..
