Halloween and Bonfires #5

My attempt at pumpkin carving · Little Friend · Bonfire Season · Todays LOTD · Pumpkin Carving · Halloween nails

This week has been filled with everything Halloweeny, me and my friend Tara decided to buy some pumpkins and attempt to do some pumpkin carving.  To be honest, i don't think i have ever carved a pumpkin before.. well by myself that is. I've always been an assistant or something handing the tools to my big brother or sister to do. I think i did a pretty decent job considering.. Mines the heart eyes if your wondering..
I also attempted some Halloween Last Minute Nail Art, last night i put together these 5 looks all really simple and easy to do.. See post here.
It's officially bonfire season! One of my favourite times of the year, my village has already had it's bonfire and it was amazing! The fireworks were literally metres away and it was amazing to watch.
Last of all, a little weird but i was round Tara's and popped to the toilets to see the cat asleep on the floor.. Little strange to have a watching me pee.

I hope you've all had a fantastic Halloween!

Last Minute Halloween Nail Art

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope your all having a great night, weather your going out trick or treating, taking the kids or just don't celebrate it.
Here are some last minute quick and easy designs for you which are perfect for beginners and are so easy to do.. even i managed to do it, word of the wise.. you may want to do these with a clean surface.. my keyboard doesn't appreciate the blood splat over them.

The Happy Pumpkin - For this i painted my nails with the Essie Fear + Desire polish, i applied 2 coats and let it fully dry.  I then took my liquid liner (this is an old one) - and drew some happy eyes and a stitch pumpkin mouth.

The Lonely Tree - This is my favourite design, it was originally meant to be a spooky tree however i jazzed it up with some pink sparkles. For this i used the OPI Alpine Snow and painted 2 coats and waited to fully dry.  I then took the black liquid liner and drew the outline of the tree and then drew smaller lines for the branches.. finishing the look off with the grass.

The Original Pumpkin - Taking the same steps as the Happy Pumpkin except changing the face to the original pumpkin face.

Blood Splat - This is the messiest of all nails, with this i painted my nails all over with the OPI Alpine Snow and then took a straw.. any straw will do.. dipped it in the OPI Big Apple Red and blew through  (not in) the straw over the nail to create this blood splat nails. I added some Barry M Red Black over the top of that to make it look more realistic and to make the blood look more fresh.

Open Wound - Following on from the blood spat i decided to create an open wound type nail art. Exactly the same steps as the blood splat nails except i added a few black streaks using the liquid liner to make it look like an open cut.

What do you think of these quick and easy last minute Halloween nail art?.. Which one's your favourite?..

- i apologise for the quality in pictures, my memory card reader is currently broken and isn't reading my memory card, first my camera and now my memory card. I have ordered a new card reader so in the mean time i am using my iphone to take photo's.

Lily Lolo Eyeshadow Quad - Molten Bronze

Fest your eyes on the most gorgeous eyeshadow quad ever.  Lily Lolo, a brand i've not heard much about but have quickly fallen in love with..
The Eyeshadow Quad comes with 4 gorgeous everyday wearable shimmer shades.. a baby pink, a coffee shade, a golden champagne shade and a deep shimmer black.
Packaged in a gorgeous matte white palette with simplistic branding, it's definitely the most prettiest palette i now own.. Not only that but even the outer box packaging is beautiful to!
The palette has 4 very creamy shades which are so pigmented and easy to blend, they are also very wearable everyday shades which can be used for a smokey eye or worn by itself.
The only downside to this eyeshadow quad is the fact it's so gorgeous i fear i'll get my mucky hands on it and it'll ruin the packaging.
It's not cheap, coming in at £18.99.. however i would re-purchase it in a heartbeat.. It definitely doesn't feel cheap and for the quality of the eyeshadows your really paying for what you get.. I'm definitely thinking of picking more of these products up from Lily Lolo.

What do you think of this eyeshadow quad?..

High-End Beauty Haul

Do you ever get those times where you really really want something so badly that you just watch it constantly online, bookmark it and then keep going back to it?..
That's the only way i can justify this mini high-end beauty haul, i've been watching these items for months and months now so i finally caved in and instead of purchasing them on separate occasions i decided if i was going to spend that amount of money i may as well do it in one go.
The first product i picked up was the Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, i had a sample of this about a year ago and i loved it.. I went to grab another sample of it a couple months back and knew i wanted this foundation, it's really high coverage so i like to wear this on days where i feel i need extra coverage. It has SPF10 and i was matched to the shade Ecru.. This definitely isn't the cheapest of foundations coming in at £28.50 but i've wanted it for so long and that's the only way i can justify it.
The next foundation i picked up is actually a repurchase from years back and that's the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, i picked up the shade Punjab which is more of my Summer shade but i like to mix this together with a lighter foundation to get my perfect shade, this again is quite a full coverage foundation. Again, not the cheapest coming in at £30.50 but well worth the money if your looking for a good high end foundation.
The last item i picked up was the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer, again i've wanted this for so long now.. I picked up the shade Ivory as it's the shade they normally match me to.. I really like this concealer, although it doesn't beat the Collection Lasting Perfection it has great coverage and i like the tiny packaging.  This is the most i've ever spent on a concealer, it's £18.50 for this which is ridiculous but to me it was worth it.

Have you picked up any high-end beauty products lately?..

Are You the Most Annoying Person on Facebook?

Facebook is a great way to keep touch with friends, new or old. I've been on Facebook now for a few years and i must admit, i was probably one of those annoying Facebook people who constantly changed my profile picture..
However, nowadays i barely go on Facebook and if i do it's to spy on people, oh c'mon we all do it!
If not, then i simply just go on there to reply back to friends..
Of course, there are some people on Facebook who clearly just take it to another level and go on there to rant, constantly update their status and send you those really annoying requests for Farmville, Candy Crush etc.. recently undertaken research amongst  over a thousand of our subscribers to find out the kind of people who are considered the most irritating on the social network.
They've created this rather amusing, yet so very true infographic of the most annoying people on Facebook, i think we can all safely say that there is someone on the infographic that we can point to.. *cough* MUM number 5 *cough*

Do you know someone who fits into these categories?..

Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On

I've never been the type to apply anything near my eyes, my eye area is very sensitive area so i've never got on well with eye creams and when applying foundation and concealer i have to be extra careful.
However i've been trying out this Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On and it's been working a treat lately especially against my sensitive eyes.
I apply this morning and night after moisturising, the gel is dispensed from a metal rollerball which feels quite cooling and refreshing under the eyes. The coolness feels great in the morning and definitely makes me feel more awake whilst slightly reducing any puffiness i have under my eyes.
It's quick and easy to use, it comes with a screw lid and it's a quick, but nice and easy step in my morning and evening skincare routine.
I must say one night i came a bit obsessed with this little gem that i applied it everywhere around my eyes and caught the skin of my eyelid so be careful when using this, especially as the eyes are a very delicate area.

What do you think of the Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On? Would this be something you'd be interested in?..

Barry M Matte Nail Paint - Burgundy Crush

The other day whilst browsing my local Superdrugs i decided to finally cave in and pick up one of the Barry M new Matte Nail Paints.  If i'm honest, matte nail paints have never really interested me i much prefer glossy or sparkly nail looks.. However they did intrigue me and i always find with the new Barry M polishes that i 'have' to try them out. So i picked up one shade 'Burgundy Crush' a deep red/plum shade and the only shade i actually liked if i'm honest besides from Vanilla which is a really nice matte nude pink shade, i wish they did more pastel shades as that would be right up my street, obviously i understand that it's no longer Summer anymore.. But c'mon pastel shades are all year round aren't they?... No.. okay just me then.
The matte texture comes out really quickly and dries really nicely to a smooth matte finish, of course you can always add a top coat to the nails if you don't like the matte effect.
I painted mine on quite roughly before work (as you can see) as i knew they would be destroyed at work, and i was right.. However it was only one nail that chipped the rest are still in tact.
Funnily enough i actually like the matte look, it's definitely different to what i'd normally go for but i like it a lot.

The shades in the collection are perfect for the colder months, of course if you have shades similar to this and don't fancy spending money on another look alike shade but still want the matte finish, try a matte top coat.. or there are other ways.. try placing your hand over steam for a few seconds after you've painted them and allowed time to dry a little. This instantly mattifies your nails..

The Barry M Matte Collection can be found in-stores and online at Superdrugs and retails for £3.99 each. - link here

What do you think of the new Barry M Matte Collection?..

Simple Eye Make-Up Corrector Pen

Designed to correct any eye make up mistakes and even remove waterproof mascara, this nifty little pen may be the perfect beauty tool..
There have been a few of these doing it's rounds in the beauty community lately and when this was handed to me by the postman, i was intrigued and dying to give it a go.
If you know me well you will know my statement look of the winged eyeliner, however i always find it hard to get the perfect flick so i tend to take a cotton bud dipped in make up remover and go over the areas i went wrong.
This little pen is exactly what i needed in my life, only it didn't live up to it's expectations unfortunately..
I like the whole concept of the corrector pen it's actually a well thought out product especially if your anything like me and have shaky hands and find it a little tricky to get perfect and matching flicks.
The pen has a fine tip to it making it easier to get precise straight lines, perfect for flicks and liquid eyeliner mistakes however when i tried using this corrector pen it seemed to smudge the eyeliner instead of removing it.. It also didn't come with spare applicator heads, i actually received one of these eye make-up corrector pens from one of my Glossybox and it came with spare heads.  It says you have to clean with a make up wipe and place the tip back in, however once i used the product and cleaned it the tip had already stained and any uses after that smudged my make up..
If the pen came with spare applicators, ones you can pop out and turn upside down to replace that would be ideal and if the smudging didn't occur i would like the product..
I hate to say it as i adore Simple products but this unfortunately isn't for me..

Have you tried any eye make-up corrector pens?..

Glossybox Dark Romance | October 2013

I think like others that this box is utterly disappointing compared to the rest of the Glossybox's i have received. Seriously Glossybox really needs to up their game as so many people have unsubscribed in the past couple of months.. and i may be next..
This Glossybox in my opinion should have been Orange, i mean it's common sense really.. Hello Halloween season!
Anyway, this months box theme is 'Dark Romance'.. Okay i get it, it's coming into Autumn which means darker colours and of course more Reds, Plums and Berry colours.
Saying that... why wasn't the box red at least to match the theme?.. Hmm.. i think Glossybox may be slipping.
Inside the box this month were products which can be used through-out the year, not Autumn related at all..
First up is the only full sized product.. the MeMeMe Cherubs Blush Cheek & Lip Tint (£5.99), a product i already own and do-not use anyway.. I like the product it's an okay cheek and lip tint but enough to go out and repurchase it.
I picked mine up a little over a year ago now and i used it twice then it got thrown to the back of the drawer. I found that the stain is so hard to work with, you literally have to be lightening quick to apply this otherwise you'll come up with red patches and it seriously stains your cheeks, lips and fingers so much so that it's really not worth the hassle of even applying it.
Katy Perry Killer Queen Fragrance (sample -- full size 50ml £29.50) - Again!! Another fragrance sample, how many times have i said i don't want any more fragrance samples to them! Even filling out the questionnaire to say i DID NOT want them and what do they do.. Send me another fragrance sample.
Glossybox, please listen to your subscribers! - Having said that, i like the fragrance it's nice and something which i already have again!! I picked up a sample of this in-stores when it first came out so i already know what it smells like. It's a nice sweet floral scent.. described as a Floriental fragrance.
Monu Illuminating Primer (sample 20ml -- full size 50ml £24.95) - I've tried and tested this primer on 2 occasions and this is probably the only product in the box that i'd use. It's a nice illuminating primer, however i would not spend £24.95 on this, heads up.. Birchbox have shown there's a mini Laura Mercier primer doing it's rounds in beauty boxes this month.
Eva Cosmetics Mystic Diamond Argon Oil (sample size -- full size 100ml £22.70) - Now i don't mind receiving hair oils in beauty boxes, i'm always on a look out for good hair oils but i must say i'm pretty disappointed with this one, especially when it comes to the performance and price.. Ouch!
The argon oil felt a little weighed down on my hair and within a day of washing it' it made my hair look so greasy, if i were you i'd recommend you get the Moroccan Oil not only does it work a treat it makes my hair feel so soft and healthy looking..
Premae Multi-Vit Smoothie Serum (sample 20ml -- Full size 50ml £22.50) - Now i haven't used this product, purely for the fact that i actually read what i put on my face before i apply and this clearly says on the card which comes with the Glossybox that it's for Combination Skin types. Again, i feel as though Glossybox has paid no attention to the questionnaires which we have to fill out when signing up as i clearly put i had dry/sensitive skin.. So that's another wasted product! Any takers?..

Overall as you've probably guessed i'm pretty disappointed in Glossybox and i'm 'this' close to unsubscribing.. I feel as though Glossybox pay no attention to what their subscribers want or to their specifics such as skin/hair types which are asked to be filled in when signing up.. What's the point if you pay no notice?!..
I'm hoping next month's box will be an improvement to the past few boxes, it's time to step up your game Glossybox!

What did you think of your Glossybox this month?...

Latest Beauty Haul #2

Yep.. Superdrugs had free online delivery again so i kinda took advantage of that offer and placed another order..
I also have a high-end beauty haul coming up on here over the next few days where again.. i fell for the offers.
So this month i've been wanting to try out the New L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint, it's a weightless foundation and despite the fact it comes in a tiny bottle (which i thought was strange, and maybe they had sent me the wrong size) is in fact the full size.  I got this at the introductory offer which was £6.99.
I've been using this foundation for the past week and absolutely love it, it feels so light weight on your skin and barely feels like your wearing anything at all. It's a little hard to work with at first as it's a water base foundation and it does require some serious blending but you get the hang of it after a while.. Because it's a water based foundation a little goes a long way.. it says to dip your finger in the pot tilt upside down then apply whatever is on your finger to the face(i prefer to tip a little on the back of my hand). I picked the shade Nude Beige as it was the closest to my shade but it comes off a tiny bit dark on me so i blend with a little pump of my Bourjois Healthy Mix.
I also picked up another concealer, i've been going concealer crazy this month.. I'm not sure what it is but there are so many concealers i want to try out!  The one i picked up this month to try out is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Soft Beige, i've been wanting to try this out since it first came out but there has been so many mixed reviews on this.. I like it, but i wouldn't say it comes close to the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which i adore!
I also picked up a new mascara, this is the Revlon Lash Potion Waterproof Mascara.. i like it but again doesn't come close to my holy grail mascara, the L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara.
It doesn't hold a decent enough curl throughout the day and within an hour my eyelashes are flat again.. It does however give my eyelashes a nice fluttery look to them and gives them great volume.
I picked up the Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeliners in Black and Bronze, the black liner is actually a repurchase and i've mentioned in one of my favourites video.. The Bronze is a new addition to my eyeliner collection, i just fancied a change really and Superdrugs have a 3 for 2 offer for Rimmel so why not?..
The last 2 products are the same but i picked up 2 of the Live Color XXL Colour Intense in Deep Black 99 they have an offer for these to which is buy one get 2nd half price.. When it comes to hair dyes I normally pick up 2 anyway so thought this was a great offer! As i thought it was about time i said goodbye to my multicoloured blonde, red, brown hair..

Have you picked up any beauty essentials lately?..

Urban Witch - F&F Glamourween

To kick start the Halloween series i was kindly offered the chance to work alongside F&F Clothing who are currently running a competition to win £200 to spend online at F&F creating an Urban Witch look of your own, not with your typical white paint and pointy hats.  Instead putting a twist on things and creating your own Urban Witch look.
I was sent a £50 voucher for F&F clothing to shop online to help create my look and also the coolest halloween goodie bag.
Sadly my goodie bag arrived late in the post due to postage problems on my end (cough cough mr postman) so i didn't manage to use any of these products in my look, however i absolutely love everything inside from the make up to the candy (which by the way i ate as soon as a snapped a picture of it)..
Inside the goodie bag or box i received.. a extremely cool plastic cauldron jam packed full of beauty products.. There was a Barry M lipstick, 2 Barry M nail paints, Barry M Dazzledust, Revlon Shadow Stick and lastly the most amazing set of false lashes!
For the make up i went for something a little let's say.... dramatic.  For witches i normally think of dark colours so i opted for black and red mainly but added gold for some extra glamour..
For my eyes i went for black, gold and plum.. I started with black all over the lid and blended a bit of the plum shade on the outer corner, lastly adding some gold glitter in the inner eye and bottom lashline.
For the lips i applied a bright red lipstick all over and added black eyeshadow in the corners of my lips and putting my lips together to blend it out (note: i need to blend more next time)
I also added some black contouring unless you were thinking why my contouring looks crazy, i used black eyeshadow and contoured the hallows of my cheeks to.
Moving onto the exciting part and that was the outfit, for my outfit i was thinking of something edgy, something not like my style at all and something you wouldn't see a typical Urban Witch wear!
I picked out this Black Eyelash Lace Dress (£22), it's something i would imagine a witch would probably wear but i loved the detailing of this dress  so much when i first saw it online and knew it would be the dress i wanted to feature.
I also picked up a pair of the Burgundy Cotton Soft Tights (£4) and a pack of the Animal Print Tights (£10) which i as actually planning on wearing these to start off with but i didn't want to make the outfit all black so i wore these and i really like them and think they go well with the red and black lips..  i then cut up the Animal Print tights to wear as an arm glove (shown in first pic) like i said i wanted it to be edgy.
The last item i picked up was this Textured Knit Jumper (£14) the jumper was a lot thicker than i thought it would be, however i picked this up as i thought it'll go perfectly with the outfit..  I prefer the outfit without the jumper if i'm honest but thought i'd show you with it on so you can decide for yourself..  And lastly the Black Boots are from H&M and the Side Cross Necklace is from Forever21.

What do you think of my Urban Witch look?.. Do you prefer the outfit with or without the jumper?...
*the items shown in this post were bought with a voucher provided by F&F for this competition. - besides from the necklace and boots which are my own and paid for with my own money.

Yumi Lace Front Dress

First i just want to apologise for the poor lighting, it's been so hard to get decent pictures lately for my blog that i've just had to make do with what i have.
So i was really kindly given the chance to review this gorgeous Yumi Lace Front Dress* from Scarlett Fashion.. Scarlet Fashion is a boutique based in Lancashire, named after the owners 1 year old daughter, Scarlett.
The boutique offers a variety of elegant and sophisticated, yet quirky brands such as Sugarhill boutique, B Young, Missco Girl Bags, Yumi, Miss Patina and Little Mistress.
I originally chose this dress as i attended a wedding at the weekend, however i didn't end up going for this dress but instead a long navy maxi dress.. however i am going to a wedding in January so will no doubt be wearing this there.
This dress has a beautiful sparkle lace design running throughout the dress, it's made from a really thick material which makes it seem more expensive than it is, and has this beautiful zig zag hemline.
It sits comfortably above the knee, not to short but not to long either.. It has a zip closure at the back which helps cinch in your body and make you look slimmer.
I'd say this would make the perfect wedding dress attire or even for a night out, this dress is so eye catching and would definitely make heads turn.
It's not the cheapest of dresses coming in at £44 but judging from the material, design and sturdiness of this dress i'd say it's definitely worth every penny you pay.

What do you think of this dress?
- I'll snap pictures of me wearing this at the wedding and update this post, or do another updated post in January :)

Ted Baker Dorin Allover Medium Wash Bag

Does anybody else get excited about getting a new make up/wash bag?.. No... just me then.
I couldn't possibly tell you how many make up bags i own currently, it's getting beyond a joke!
However, newest to the collection and definitely my favourite of them all is from and it's this Ted Baker Dorin Allover Medium Wash Bag*, just look how bloody gorgeous it is!
They also do this wash bag in pink and have a ton of other Ted Baker Wash Bags which can also be found at Surfdome. - Visit this page to check some other Ted Baker Bags.
I opted for the mint green wash bag as it's one of my favourite colours, it has this cute dog print all over the wash bag, zip fastening and has the Ted Baker logo print on the side.
I already own a Ted Baker make up bag but it's become a bit worse for wear lately, i've had it for about 2-3 years and it's lasted me well so i was so excited to get another one!
Instead of a make up bag i chose a wash bag. 1) because it's larger in size 2) you can fit more in and also use it as a make up bag or wash bag..
So when i first received this i literally snapped a few pics of it, ran to my make up station and packed it full of products from moisturisers to make up.. Just stuff i use for an everyday basis. - Video will be up on my channel soon.

What do you think of this adorable Ted Baker wash bag?..

Elemis FreshSkin Make-Up Away Cleansing Wipes

I don't normally write about face wipes, i stopped using them a long time ago and converted to using a deep cleansing oil to remove my make up. However on lazy days i wish i had them so i was sent these Elemis FreshSkin Make-Up Away Cleansing Wipes* to try out and they have been a massive god send.
I almost hate all face wipes, most of them have seriously broke me out on leave my skin feeling so dry afterwards that's why i converted to using a cleansing oil as the oils help with my dry skin.
However on my lazy days i've been using these wipes to make the process of removing make up a lot quicker and easier on me, after all.. The last thing i want to do after i've just finished a long shift at work is to take years removing my make up(over exaggeration).
I like to take a wipe and remove my eye make up, gently removing my eyeshadow and mascara mainly as they are the toughest to remove with a cleansing oil, these Elemis FreshSkin Make-Up Away Cleansing Wipes have literally been the easiest and quickest make up removing wipes i've used. They take a few seconds to remove my eye make up, even waterproof mascara which we all know is tricky to remove. I literally hold the wipe over my eyes for about 5 seconds, lightly press the wipe onto my eye and push from side to side and it literally removes most if not all the mascara, it does take a few turns to completely remove it but it does make the job a heck of a lot easier on me.
Of course after that i like to use my cleansing oil to remove the rest of my make up and it takes me about 5minutes or less to do it with these face wipes, normally if i'm just using a cleansing oil it takes about 10minutes as i'm sat slowly removing it with oil.
I just found these wipes work more effectively than other wipes i've tried in the past, they also smell amazing to and they are really gentle on the eyes as well as the face. These Elemis FreshSkin Make-Up Away Cleansing Wipes are only £4.80 for 25wipes from Look Fantastic.

What do you think?.. Do you use wipes, a cleansing oil or anything other method to remove your make up?..

How to Protect Your Skin in the Winter Months

Most people worry about sun damage to their skin during the warmer months, but skin can also suffer during the long cold winter. The inevitable cold weather and long nights are just around the corner - and for many this brings the dry, flaky skin associated with exposure to the cold.

Whilst we can't do much about the weather or the daylight, we can take steps to help protect our skin. And although many of us take a bit too much sun over the summer and fail to adequately protect against its harmful rays, this doesn’t mean it's too late to treat your skin in preparation for the winter ahead.

Why does skin dry in winter?

For many the cold winter weather means little more than rosy red cheeks, but for some the winter months are characterised by uncomfortably dry skin on the face, feet and hands. In extreme cases the skin starts to crack and flake and some may even develop symptoms of eczema. The drying out process starts as soon as the heating is turned on. Irrespective of whether your home is headed by electricity, oil or gas the skin can become dry very quickly. Extreme temperature differences between outside and inside also have a detrimental effect on the skin.

Here are some tips to prevent your skin from drying out:

* If you want to avoid your skin drying then you should remove wet gloves and socks as soon as possible when you get inside as these can result in cracking and itching.
* It may seem strange but you should consider wearing sunscreen on sunny winter days. Winter sun, together with glare from snow, can cause damage your skin.
* The hands have fewer oil glands and thinner skin that most of the body and tend to dry out more quickly. Protect them from the cold by wearing gloves.
* Humidifiers are great for counteracting the drying effect of central heating. Spaced throughout the home, they help to evenly add moisture to the air.

Using a good moisturiser is essential to prevent your skin from drying out. You may find that a moisturiser that works well in spring and summer doesn't necessarily stop the drying out process in the winter months.

There is an alternative however - oil-based 'ointment' moisturisers are more effective than water-based ones in the winter, as the oil creates a protective layer on the skin and prevents precious moisture escaping to the atmosphere. Ensure that any oil-based product you choose is suitable for use on the face and doesn't clog your pores.
Reputable skincare companies (we recommend products from L'Occitane) have a broad range of moisturising items suitable for all skin types. As well as keeping your skin soft and moisturised, they’ll have additional natural ingredients which offer additional benefits to your health. Immortelle essential oil helps to fight the signs of ageing and Angelica has been shown to add radiance to dull skin.

It is vital to maintain hydration, not only for skin health, but also for feeling generally good and alert, so ensure that you drink enough water regularly throughout the day. It is also important to maintain fresh fruit and vegetable intake in the winter months. Make sure that baths are not too
hot and avoid harsh peels, particularly if you have dry skin.
If your skin feels dry after a bath or shower, apply a good moisturising cream afterwards. People with very troublesome skin should consider E45 cream which is excellent and available at most chemists.

Current Loves | October

Lately i've been obsessing over getting 'new things' for Autumn, i have literally browsed over hundreds of websites (that may have been a slight exaggeration) but i am literally obsessed with revamping my wardrobe lately.
I came across Van Mildert and i have literally fallen in love with just about everything on the website and of course i've made up a little wish list of the items for keepsakes and so that i can go back to and purchase when payday arrives.
So you may or may not know already but i have a slight addiction to Ted Baker, i am literally lusting after everything from the line, from handbags to wash bags to even phone cases, i just adore Ted Baker!
The first item i've actually wanted for a long time but can't quite justify spending that much on a handbag if it's anything like me then i'll get bored in a months time and want a new one.. However i am just in love with this Tan Mini Bowler Bag - for whatever reason i just prefer bowler bags over any other style of bags. My next favourite from Ted Baker are there phone cases, i really like the Floral Print Phone Case and the Black Bow Phone Case.. However there are quite a few phone cases from Ted Baker that i have my eye on.
The last thing from Ted Baker which i am loving is this Glitter Bow Gold Washbag, i actually have a wash bag from Ted Baker already but am loving this one, perfect for fall!
Moving onto clothing now, i've had my eye on some Black Leather Look Leggings for a while so when i spotted these from Michael Kors i literally couldn't take my eyes off them. They are gorgeous and exactly what i was looking for, not sure if i'd pay the price of them but if i won the lottery however these would be the first purchase i'd make.
The next clothing piece i've been eyeing up are Quilted Jackets, ever since i saw Jack Branning wearing one on Eastenders i had hopes to get myself one, i've never found the 'right' one though, i spotted this one which is by Joules and i just love it, they do other colours to so i'm thinking of getting the Navy Blue one.
The last and final thing i've been loving is this Metallic Lace Cobalt Blue Top, isn't it just gorgeous!?.. I love tops and sweaters which have nice detailing on them and this just ticks all the boxes. I am in love with the detailing and the colour of this top.  Maybe a little pay day treat to myself?..

What's your current love's this month?..

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Range

The Luxurious Volume Range developed by John Frieda was designed for those who have fine hair, it incorporates the latest thickening technology that transforms flat, limp, fine hair into beautiful, full bodied hair..
I was lucky enough to trial these products out over the past couple of weeks and have had the pleasure to use them.. I must admit, i'm so lazy when it comes to hair care.. however having recently got my hair done i have realised that i really do need to start looking after my hair..
So over the past couple of weeks i've been using these 4 products nearly every single day and i must say i have been loving them, i already own and love a few other John Frieda products so i knew deep down i'd love these straight off the bat.
Okay so the first 2 products are the Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner, despite the fact i have thick hair to start off with i don't mind trying out shampoos and conditioners for fine hair.. If i'm honest i love that extra boost of fuller, thicker hair and these did exactly the job. They gave my hair so much more volume which my hair lacked in, made my hair feel squeaky clean and incredibly smooth and soft, it didn't weigh my hair down and they smell amazing to!
The next is the Luxurious Volume Blow Dry Lotion, this stuff is amazing.. what ever they've used to make this or however they have formulated it is beyond words. I apply this after i've towel dried my hair and it just really lift my roots making my hair have more volume and depth to it, it's really light again and it feels like your hardly applying any product. It also keeps your roots lifted all day which is a bonus in my books.
The last product from the range which i've been loving also is the Luxurious Volume Fine To Full Blow Out Spray, this again works absolute wonders on my hair. It's also really lightweight and gives amazing results, it literally transforms my lifeless hair into amazing volume-full hair - all four of these products combined are amazing, my hair has never had so much attention all at once.
