{WISHLIST} What i would love to have in my make up bag!

Ever just make a wishlist with beauty products you wished you owned but could never afford to buy, or just save up for months and months until you finally get it?..
I've always done this, most of the time's it's really high end brands such as YSL, Estee Lauder and Tom Ford.. Three brands i wish i owned more of, or even owned at all.
Top of my wishlist is the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, ever since it was launched i have wanted this, this is definitely right at the very top of my wishlist and possibly the next item i will purchase, high end anyway.  I've heard tons of fantastic reviews of this foundation and i've even been in-store to try it out, swatched it, smelt it (wierd).. and everything and i just love it, unfortunately at that time i simply couldn't bring myself to spend £28 on a foundation, but i haven't managed to find anything close to this so i'm thinking i may just give in and purchase it.. i know for a fact i won't regret it.
Another YSL product i've been loving is the YSL La Laque New Blacks Black Purple nail polish, it reminds me so much of the Barry M Vivid Purple nail polish which i also love, except the swatches look so so much better.. it's not cheap at £15 but then again for a high end nail polish this actually seems pretty cheap.
I have 2 Estee Lauder products which i've only recently had my eye on, first is the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Two Tone Eye-opening Mascara doesn't it look amazing?.. i really want to try this out!  And next is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick/s, i want a few of their shade's, to name a few.. i would love to try Electric Mauve,  Magnetic Magneta and Poppy Love, all of which look like amazing shade's!
And lastly, the Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss, i've never tried any Tom Ford products as much as i would love to, Tom Ford is possibly the most expensive brand of the three, the lipgloss alone is £32!! - I may have to wait a while to try any Tom Ford products.

- All products shown in this post are available to purchase at Harrods
What's on your high-end wishlist?  Or what would you like to have in your make-up bag?

Guest Post: How to look beautiful this summer

Summer’s just around the corner, so it’s time to prepare for the summer months! Perfect your complexion before the BBQ season arrives and look fabulous in five simple steps – here’s how.

Get rid of dead skin cells
Dead skin cells can block your pores, so exfoliate on a regular basis. Rub an abrasive shower gel over your body (starting at your feet and working up to your face) and create a sweet-smelling lather. This will purge toxins from your body and will help stimulate your circulation – leaving you with a radiant glow. A glycolic face peel can remove dead skin, but if you’re looking for an everyday solution – this is for you.

Let your skin glow
Use a decent moisturiser and let your skin glow naturally. There are many products on the market, so make sure you choose something compatible with your skin type. If you’re not sure what to buy speak to a dermatologist or a beauty expert for advice. You might need one cream for your face and another for your body, but it’ll be worth it in the long run.

Use a sun cream all year round
The sun’s UV rays can cause lines, wrinkles, sun spots and a range of skin cancers. They’re very dangerous, so wear a sun cream all year round (even when it’s cold outside). During summer, wear long, cool clothes that protect your skin and stay out of the sun between eleven and three (as this is the hottest part of the day). It’s difficult to remove wrinkles once they are there, but preventative measures will help.

Use natural ingredient
Believe it or not, natural ingredients can be great for your skin – so raid your kitchen cupboards. Learn how to make a natural face mask by following these unique recipes and get your creative juices flowing. Mashed avocados can reduce the signs of ageing (as they’re rich in antioxidants) and oats mixed with banana can exfoliate your skin – so give it a go.

Pucker Up
Lips often are dry and cracked in winter, so let them shine in the summer months, simply rubbing them with a wet flannel will help with flakes. With the many coral and pink lip-glosses and stains that are around this season you may be thinking about lip enhancement to make your pout stand out even more.

Exercise is great for your figure, but it can also keep your skin clean and clear. This is because dirt and grime leaves the body through sweat – opening up your pores. Hit the gym several times and week and you should see a difference in no time – just don’t forget to shower after an energetic session.

Take good care of your appearance and feel fabulous throughout the year.

Liz Earle Natural Finish Loose Powder + Powder Brush

Liz Earle's newly released make up range has been hitting up quite a storm since the launch and we were all intrigued to see if it would live up to it's highly raved and ever so famous skincare line.
I think i amongst a load of other beauty bloggers were a little excited to see Liz Earle doing make up and i was lucky enough to be asked to review a few from the collection.  I've been a massive fan of Liz Earle for as long as i can remember, my favourite item's have to be the Liz Earle Superskin Moisturiser and the Liz Earle Perfume.  Your probably all a little surprised as to why i didn't say the Hot Cloth Cleanser but infact that is probably the only thing from Liz Earle that has ever disagreed with me although this was a little while ago now so i may have to give it enough try soon.
(Natural Beige - £19.50)
Our velvety soft, lightweight formula is a revolution in powder technology. Containing four types of powder and many different sized particles to help smooth and even out the appearance of your skin, leaving it with a natural finish. Enriched with our own blend of natural source of vitamin E, borage and avocado oils.
- I've never been a fan of loose powders and have always been a pressed powder kinda girl, but being a beauty blogger i'm willing to give anything a go, and gosh was i amazed.  This loose powder glides onto my skin like nothing else, the coverage is amazing and the shade is an exact match to my skin tone giving me a really nice overall healthy glow.  It comes in a plastic jar which you twist and contains 12g of powder, pretty good for the price see'ing as though it's £19.50 but you definitely get what you pay for and is sure to last you a long time.
Our full and rounded brush head has a feather-light feel. It allows you to effortlessly apply and blend your powders and bronzers for a smooth, even finish.  The cut and shape of our brushes have been uniquely designed by our make up artists to help you achieve truly professional results. Each hair is both individual in length and cut to help pick up and apply just the right amount of your product. Our two-tone brush head is made from 100% man-made fibres so is animal-friendly, and the clear acrylic handle gives the brush a clean, stylish design.

There are currently only 3 brushes in the Liz Earle make up range but if they go the way they are going now i expect to see more coming out soon.  This is by far my new favourite make up brush, not only is it ridiculously soft, it also applies bronzers and powders amazingly well and evenly aswell.  The man-made fibres are completely animal friendly, cut individually to ensure you pick up and apply just the right amount of the product.

Overall i'm impressed,  Liz Earle has quickly become my favourite skincare and make up brand and i'm defiantly going to pick up more from their make up range.

Have you tried anything from the new Liz Earle make up range?

NOTW - Peach Melba + Ibiza Mix

I've been obsessing over my Models Own Ibiza Mix ever since i bought it,  after searching high and low for this nail polish my sister managed to find it for me and i've been applying this nail polish on almost everything (including my phone case).
I find that the Model's Own Ibiza Mix looks better with pastel shade's more than dark's (even though i can't really say that as i haven't yet tried it out, but judging from images on google i thought it looked best with pastel colours)..   So anyway, i raided my nail polish collection and picked this combo out.

What do you think?..  Do you like, love or hate it?

A few recent purchases.. (all under £10)

Surprisingly i just realised all this stuff is under £10, no i don't mean that i bought this whole lot for £10 i mean all these item's individually are under £10.
I've never done one of these post's before but i'm hoping to do alot more of these in the future..  I've picked up alot of stuff over the past few months and wanted to show you all what i've bought..  I haven't included quite alot of things such as clothing as i can't seem to find a proper way to take photo's of them yet.
Anyway onto the hauling..

o  River Island purse, possibly my favourite purchase from the past few months.. i just love it!  I have a serious purse and handbag obsession - i picked up this purse from River Island about 2months back now and it was only £10!! Total bargain if you ask me.
o  MUA Going for Gold eyeshadow palette - i've recently done a review/swatch post on this so if you wanted to check that out then click 'here'.  - This palette was a bargain price of £4!!
o  Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - i'm always on the hunt for BB creams and heard alot of great reviews on this one, i've only used this a few time's but once i've used it abit more i shall write up a review on it but so far so good.. i picked this up for £7.99!
o  L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks in shades Cheeky Magenta and Fashionista Pink, i've been wanting more of these Rouge Caresse lipsticks for a while now so when i saw Buyapowa doing a co-buy for them i instantly snapped them up. I picked these two beauties up for £7.99 plus £1.95 postage.
o  Studded Tote Bag from Primark i picked up the other day whilst out in Eastbourne, it was only £9 and i've been wanting a bag like this for a little while.  it's absolutely gorgeous and i love the colour of it too!
o  Some LUSH goodies, i picked up Creamy Candy Bar (£3), Space Girl (£2.10), Melting Marshmallow Moment (£3.85) and Rose Jam Bubbleroon (£3.50) which isn't pictured because i had used it that night i bought them! (oops!)
o  Flower iPhone Case - i picked this iphone case up on eBay for £3.99 from this seller, it's funny because when i had an iphone 3gs i could never find the perfect phone case for it, and when i did they only had them for iphone 4 or 4s.  So when i saw this phone case i knew i had to have it, it's kinda like Cath Kidston, which i also love but i wouldn't dream of buying a £25 phone case! - okay maybe i would.... one day.

That's all for my recent purchases i hope you enjoyed, if you want to see more post's like this then please do let me know.

Have you picked up any bargains lately?

A little apology - and a few pictures

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to quickly write up a post on why i haven't blogged in a while.. it's really nothing amazing but i've just been to busy with work, family, boyfriend etc.. just life in general.
Lately i've been working my tiny butt off and every time i come home from work all i want to do is sleep well i that's all i have been doing for the past 2 weeks, going to work coming home, eating and then bed.. waking up the next morning and doing the same thing..
Of course i miss blogging soo soo much, you won't believe and it's gotten to a stage where i get a day off, i plan to write up a few blog post's but all i want to do is spend some time with the family and boyfriend so of course the blog gets neglected AGAIN.. so i apologize that i've been a tad absent from my blog and i do hope to get back to normal blogging soon.  I miss chatting with you all and reading all your beautiful comments you all leave me so if you want to just chat with me you can catch me on twitter most of the time's.. @missholly_xo
Anyway, enough with the rambles.. i went to the Eastbourne Air Show yesterday with the boyfriend and i can honestly say it was absolutely amazing!! -possibly the best event i've attended this year so far and it was free! I managed to snap a few pictures of that and will insert it in this post for you all but if you in the area tomorrow then i'd definitely recommend you go check it out.  I had so much fun there, we ended up going there at 12 and stayed to around 5:30 the weather was so hot yesterday, was absolutely amazing!

MUA Going for Gold - Review & Swatches

To celebrate the much anticipated 2012 London Olympics, MUA has introduced the champion of all make-up palettes, a limited edition Going for Gold Palette!  The new Going for Gold palette is made up of 10 gorgeous shimmering shades all very highly pigmented, some more than others may i add, in new square pans!
I don't know about you, but i was one of millions to get a little excited about this palette..  I spent weeks trying to find this palette in-store's, ended up giving up and ordering online only to see that they have finally stocked up on them in my local store!! - Not much of a surprise see'ing how popular this palette is right now as all the shades are absolutely stunning, more so in real life than on camera.
{In natural light, no flash}
There are no specific names for each shade, like other eyeshadow palettes have, instead each shade is called 'Shade 1, Shade 2 etc'.. you get the picture.  As you can see from the swatches all the eyeshadows are highly pigmented.. going back on what i said earlier.. some shades are more pigmented than other's.  Such as the gold's, bronze and the dark grey shimmer eyeshadows.  Compared to the others which did only need one little swipe on the eyeshadow's to get the right shade's, but the one's i say are most pigmented only needed a light brush of the eyeshadows.
MUA have done it again, i'm completely and madly in love with this palette!  If you haven't already bought it then i highly suggest you do, it's limited edition so who know's how long this palette will be around for and for £4, that's 40p an eyeshadow!! - If you love Heaven and Earth or the Undressed palette i'm pretty sure you'll love this one too!

The MUA Going for Gold palette is available at Superdrugs or online for £4!
MUA are also currently celebrating reaching 25,000 likes on Facebook with 25% off and free delivery on their website! -Minimum spend of £10..  Promo Code:  MUA25
What do you think of the new Going for Gold palette?  Is it a winner or is it a loser?..
