My weekend #3

-Follow me on instagram

1. The adorable puppy at work - well not so adorable really as everytime i get up and walk it nibbles at the back of my foot and ankles.
2. The best quote i've found all week - 'Don't be so quick to judge, you only see, what i choose to show.. So true!
3. Again the puppy at work, this time i turned around and he was sleeping.. exactly as he was in the photo.. soo cute!
4. Currently taking a break from colour nail polish as of today and sticking with just clear nail polish - i'm actually quite liking it..
5. Lindor chocolates.. AMAZING, but also soo expensive! This box was £4! yes that's right £4!! that's ridiculous.. but soo worth it..
6. Lastly, this week at work has been spent translating Russian, don't even ask.. haha!

As for the weekend, i've literally been lazing around in my pj's throughout it all.. back to work tomorrow though.
I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Twisted Pink

I haven't worn pink nail polish since last summer which feels like years ago now and i've really been missing all the bright colours lately, bring on the summer i say!  I can't wait til i can wear bright nail polish and clothes again!  Who else here is missing the summer?
To me, it always seems odd for me to wear bright nail polish during this season, does anyone else feel like that? .. i feel as though brights are left for the summer and for the rest of the year it's mainly about the neutrals and dark shades for me.

Look of the week - Red Lips

I've really been loving using my red lipstick lately, usually my bright red lippy hardly ever gets used unless i'm going out into town or going out for dinner but through-out this week i've been feeling a little daring with my make up and opted for red lips to wear to work, some would think it's a little too much for work but i love it!  The lipstick used was Rimmel 164 Tantrum one of my all time favourite lipsticks, i just love how it looks on my lips!
What's your all time favourite lipstick?

LUSH Rocketeer

I picked this bath bomb up last week sometime whilst out shopping for work clothes.  I literally ran in and out of LUSH within a space of 30 seconds and before i could be suckered into buying anything else.  After see'ing soo many great reviews on this bath bomb i knew i had to get it to try out for myself..

What LUSH say about this bath bomb:
A Rocketeer isn't just for Christmas - you loved it so much we've brought it back to enjoy all year round!  Strap on your jet pack, for this 1950s children’s sci-fi adventure of a bath.
Rocketeer wants to break your bath through the earth’s atmosphere and take you to other worlds.  Drop one on the surface of your bathwater then lie back and watch take off.
Smelling of those childhood candy sticks, this ballistic orbits your bath whilst its jet packs give out a fizzing slip stream of yellow.  Watch as your blue rocket burns up in your bath's atmosphere and leaves a sprinkling of shiny silver lustre in the green bathwater.
This is a fantasy bath for you to watch and enjoy – then let your mind soar on its own adventures.  This ballistic really is one giant leap for bathtime.
This has honestly got to be the best bath bomb i've ever tried, hands down.  There was just soo many different and wonderful suprises packed into one bath bomb.. The scent, the popping candy, the colours.. It was just like being in heaven.
The images above are a step by step of what it looked like from the first drop into the water until what it looked like once the bath bomb had fizzled out..
The scent was a gorgeous citrusy scent, not to strong and not to overpowering it was perfect.  The colour was a gorgeous baby blue with lime green coming out of from middle, then if that wasn't awesome enough there was also popping candy!

Overll this has quickly become my new favourite bath bomb from LUSH, and i'm deffinetly going to re-purchase a ton more of these. I would 100% hand on heart if you haven't tried this bath bomb out yet, do it! You will not be disappointed..
This bath bomb is available at LUSH stores and online for £2.75..

LUSH - Ickle Baby Bot

Another new thing i've tried out from LUSH lately is the Ickle Baby Bot, I'm pretty sure this has been out for a little while now but i've never had an instant attraction to buy it straight away... As my skin gets a little dry and sensitive sometimes (very rarely) i try my very best to keep away from harsh chemicals which can strike a rash or cause any discomfort on my skin, so this is why i bought this..

What LUSH say about this bath bomb:
Exterminate tiredness and send your baby off to the land of nod. Soothe your baby’s bott with our Baby ‘Bot.
All the essential oils in this ballistic have been selected for being soothing and calming for baby. Not only does this contain sleep-inducing oils, but everything has been selected to be mild, gentle and soothing for skin and any itchy bits.
Very young babies can develop urinary tract irritations when harsh products are used in their bathwater. This was the main reason behind Mo inventing ballistics in the first place. She wanted to inject some fun into babies’ bath times and unleash the power of benign essential oils, without having strong foaming agents or chemicals. And so the bath bomb was born.
This softens the water, disperses the oils and brings fizzing fun – without any of the risks.
I love the smell of this bath bomb, it has a nice lavender citrusy scent to it which isn't to over-powering, it also turns your bath a nice light baby blue colour.. However after using this bath bomb i did come up with a rash on my legs.. nothing major but i was a little disappointed as the description says it 'Not only does this contain sleep-inducing oils, but everything has been selected to be mild, gentle and soothing for skin and any itchy bits.'
So i'm not quite sure what started the rash but for me this bath bomb didn't help at all. Infact it made my sensitive skin worse..

Overall i really liked the scent of the bath bomb, but was not impressed with the rash this bath bomb caused on my legs.. I think this would however suit those who didn't have sensitive skin and although mine may have been a dodgy bath bomb or something.. i don't know. So  i wouldn't completely say it was a 'rubbish' bath bomb, just not a bath bomb for me or my skin...

This bath bomb is available at LUSH stores and online for £1.85 for 65g..

Have you tried this bath bomb before? What were your thoughts..?

LUSH - Rose Jam Bubbleroon

I always look forward to trying new or different things from LUSH, and i'm slowly going through each product testing them out and seeing if i would repurchase them again. Apparently this is a new product from LUSH not quite sure if thats true or not but i haven't seen it in my LUSH store before until i popped in there the other day..

What LUSH say about this bubble bar:
A bath that helps you get out of it feeling better than when you got in. With lemon to bring clarity and alertness and rose to lift the spirits. The geranium oil in here will balance the skin, whilst the coconut oil and shea butter will leave you feeling smooth and soft.
This smells of roses, with the sweetness of jam – it shares the same fragrance as Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner.
The fragrance in Rose Jam was invented by Simon. Every year he visits Turkey during the rose harvest to see our rose absolute being produced. He talks about the smell of roses in the fields in the hot Turkish sun and the lunchtimes sat out eating rose jam with Hassan, our rose grower. The rest of us here at Lush think he’s jammy to have this aspect of the job - and we notice that it is always tales he brings back to us, not pots of the actual jam!
The top line of pictures doesn't do the bubble bar any justice, totally my fault as i forgot to put the bubble bar in the bath tub whilst the water was running.. but i learnt the second time round and remembered to pop it in beforehand. However in the top line of pictures you can see the full colour of the bubble bar, a gorgeous baby pink. The bottom row of pictures shows just how much it bubbles, i was amazed that it actually bubbled this much.  I split the bubble bar into two pieces for two baths, when i bought the bubble bar the lady in the LUSH store said that it can be used for up to 8-10 baths though.. The rose scent is just amazing and lingers on your body for a short while after, absolutely gorgeous!

Overall i really loved this bubble bar and i'm desperate to try the other 2 bubbleroons to, they have these available at all LUSH stores and online to, available in - Rose Jam, Green bubbleroon and Yuzu and cocoa. This gorgeous bubbleroon retails for £3.50, the other two are slightly cheaper at £3.25 and £2.95 for 100g.

Have you tried this bubble bar from LUSH yet? What were your thoughts?

Born Pretty Store - Red Crackle Nail Polish

Crackle nail polishes have never really been my thing, i've only ever tried them once and from what i can remember, i liked it but it just didn't quite cut it for me. Putting all that aside i thought i'd try it out again and maybe like it this time round.  So again picking out another red nail polish (current obsession) i decided to try them out on my new nail wheels..
The texture of the nail polish is quite thick and the drying time does take a while before you can see the full effects.  Also the shade is more of a dark coraly pink rather than red as you see from the picture above and below..

So from the first coat the effect does crackle but it took a little while, the swatch above was 10minutes after application.. which is far to long to be waiting for a nail polish to dry/crackle. With two coats the effect looks more crackly than the first and more what it should look like but i think the effect looks best with three coats of crackle polish.  Far too many coats for me in my opinion.

Overall:
Product: I love the shade of the nail polish but not a fan of the crackle and how long it took to take effect,
Texture: The texture was a little thin so you do need at least 2 coats to get the exact shade out of it.
Price: $5.50- free shipping
Packaging: The bottle packaging is cute and tiny and comes in a 15ml bottle.
Would i recommend?
Unfortunately for me, this is one of the only products from the Born Pretty Store that i'm not a fan of, i think the shade completely misleads it to be red when it comes out more pink.. it takes forever for the effect to show up properly.. just not a fan of the waiting around or the crackle effect..
You can purchase this product from the Born Pretty Store website for $5.50 by clicking here and for an additional 10% off you can use my code:

What do you think of this crackle effect nail polish or crackle nail polishes in general, are you a fan?

Recent Purchases

Today i thought i would show you a few bits that i purchased over the weekend, I also did a teeny LUSH haul which can be seen 'here' i didn't want to add it in again so if you want to see what i got then go check that post out.
So first we popped into Primark, one of my favourite store's to shop in.. Me and my sister went crazy picking things up only to put them back down again, the thing is with Primark, it's cheap but when you start piling things up into your basket you don't realise how much you spend until you get to the checkout. So i picked out things i really did want and only came away with a few things after putting a few things back on the shelves.
Black Satchel - Primark - £9
I've wanted a plain black satchel for the longest time now, but the one i was eyeing up was £70 so i'm pretty glad i got this which is a splitting image of the bag i wanted. So instead of paying £70 i paid £9, total bargain!
Slipper Socks - Primark - 2pairs for £2.50
I'm obsessed with slipper socks lately, not only are they comfy and warm they are soo comforting. I wear mine to bed and during the day - they are soo soft and just perfect for this time of the year!
River Island Ballerinas - £15
I bought these at the beginning of the month and did show them in my last post but thought i would show you all a better upclose picture, I got these in the January sale for £15 reduced from i think £35.. correct me if i'm wrong. I just fell completely and madly in love with them. If you know me well then you will know how much i love sparkley things. These have easily become my favourite pair of flats, ah i'm so in love!

Then i picked up some underwear from Primark which i'm not going to show as i don't think it's really appropiate to show. If you haven't been into Primark lately then i highly suggest you do, they have some amazing A/W clothing, bags and shoes! I'm definetly going back soon..

Have you made any recent purchases lately?
